Ok.....I wasn't really sure where to put this so I decided this was the closest to the topic! My oldest daughter is allergic to Sage.....actually she's allergic to all pollens, weeds, grasses, and molds.I use Sage for protection and clearing and also learned (from Elaine)to use it at the beginning of attunements. So, my question is-is there any alternatives to this that works just as well? Thank you all for your advice!!!!!!! Love and Light, Angela

Sage doesn't have to be used... you can use Reiki. I can't remember if I emailed you the house clearing. But you can just clap out the corners or ring a bell in them too and leave the sage out. Then you can seal them with Reiki symbols. I'm sure someone else might have some awesome idea's soo. Intention is key. Sage isn't a necessary "thing" It's just sort of cerimonial and has been used for ages. The way I cleared you guys out isn't totally necessary it's just more cerimonial and something I've incorporated into the Attuenment process... or cerimony if you will. This is an awesome forum and I'm betting we'll get some other idea's for clearing too... sage just feels cool. I'm so sorry these allergies are getting to your girlie. Also just used what you feel intuitively will do the trick and what is best. If lighting a candle or burning your bra is what you feel will cleans un-wanted energy... be it so! It's all about intention. Believe in yourself girl! Trust that you know what is best. Reiki is faster and sometimes more effective for clearing and charging. If I didn't mention this before many sorry's. We covered alot at once XO's

Another thing you can do is wipe the windowsills and doorways with white vinegar, light white candles, have fresh white flowers, say a blessing, use vibration (sound), etc. I have Tibetan bells. I have "ghost busted" several times. Intention is key, for sure. I've used reiki to clear the energy in my classroom, as well. There are lots of things to try but having the intention is the most important. I am sure there are specific crystals and stones that clear spaces as well. Hmmm I think citrine could be one of them. I can't quite recall.

what about just incense? frankencense is a good one for the same thing. very good for clearing and cleansing.....(incense oils burn alot less smoke, so that would be even better).

What about sweetgrass? You can buy them in braids at your local woo-woo shop or even on eBay if you cant find any... That works well, but I agree with what others said, intention is the key... White vinegar Karen? Wowsers, I havent heard that one before,,, I wonder what the house smells like after that! Hmmm.... and the bra burning ceremony,,, Anamere you forgot to tell her not to put it back on after you burn it..... Sowee,,, I just had a vision of you running around with a burnt bra on and I had to clairify the instructions,,, when she told me that,,, well I wont tell you what I did with my bra! hehehe only kidding

Me too!We use to burn incense like crazy as well.............she would avoid it and cough quite a bit......I guess(dumb me)never thought incense would agravate allergies...I guess it only makes sense though now that I think about it.We have totally had to change our habits around here-air cleaners and hypoallergenic everything.I can't even open windows on a pretty day because the pollen will come into the house-I love having the fresh air blow through the house.Oh well.....whadda ya gonna do? ;D

How about oils? I use oils as perfume and an incense (in one of those rings that go around the light bulb). I mean I still burn incense but for awhile I used to get migranes and couldn't tolerate anything "burny" yanno? Just a thought. Saffy is there any particular oil that can be used for raising the energy vibration or for cleansing? I bet Saffy'll have some good stuff about what you could use as an alternative to incense.

AHHHHH.....Great idea....oils !I didn't think about that.I know Lavendar is used for cleansing.I wonder if the scent though would bother her.Her allergist said for her not to even wear anything "floral like"as perfume because it could cause her allergies to flare. These are all awesome ideas guys!Thank y ou sooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anamere....I'm the same way wit the entire migraine and incense thing.

Yes, some oils are helpful with stuff, like i know peppermint is good for headaches,,, so maybe there is something you can use that would be good for allergies... This reminds me I got a really awesome book in the other day that I havent looked at really... Its Yoga for Medicine,,, what I did read of it I liked,,, if your interested I can look up allergies in it and maybe there is something she can do yoga-wise that will help her with her allergies,,, I dunno, but I will check if you like... I always like to look at the non-invasive healing stuff before going to the medical stuff... If at all possible anyhow....
My daughter has allergies pretty bad too,,, luckily shes growing out of them cause she used to get itchy nose from my incense,,, and im a nag chompa burning fool!

Actually, oils are a very good idea. You can use them on window sills and doorways, like Karen said, but you can also dilute and put in a spray bottle. I've not tried this before, but sounds like it would work well. I have both purification and protection oils.
Another thing you might try is sea salt and distilled water and put that in a spray bottle.
If you are interested in trying the oils, let me know. I also have a nice selection of other oils.
I also use a bell for clearing an area, I have used incense, just chanting in each corner for protection and clearing. Like Elaine said, intent is the biggest thing. Use whatever you feel comfortable with.

Just thought I would note I have used oils in a spray bottle. It does work! I use cloves in my bathroom for cleaning around the toilet and stuff. I just got one of those plastic spray bottles from the store.
It works really well AND helps with that yucky smell it gets in there from my boys LOL!

My boyfriend has bad asthma so I don't use sage or incense when he's around (which is pretty much always LOL!)
I usually clear our energy with Reiki, white light, or asking God to clear it out. Sometimes I call on Archangel Michael to help as well.
