he he he he..........yeah, that would be a good one for all hospitals to have posted right in front of the mam-machine. kinda like at the gyno's office where they have a cute pic on the ceiling to look at. have the MANogram where you can look at it whilst having your own. lol. that would be funny. lol. even though, i've had one and it was VERY not pleasant.

The hospital I have mine is great. All the women are funny. Of course I have been going there forever and most know me so this one would be MOST appreciated.

Well, he would be if he just went into one of those rooms. The pic above is not as bad as it reall is and why can't that heat their hands and the machine up.....geez. And has anyone else noticed how warm it is everywhere else, but the temp drops like 15 degrees fast...and someone should give those poor woman some hand lotion.

OK, here's some tips from the professional...... Do NOT schedule your mammo right after lunch of you want to avoid cold hands. After a big meal, my hands are always icecubes, at least for the first patient (sorry, physiology is physiology!) Go to a facility that uses some form of "Mammo Pad" which is a thin cushion applied to the machine. Keeps it from feeling terribly cold, and offers a wee bit of padding. And no, it doesn't interfere with the image quality. We've been using them for years and patients love 'em! And as for you, Nate....if you volunteered to be the "test subject," just think of how you would be fulfilling every woman's (Or at least every mammogram patient's) fantasy!   BTW, October is breast cancer awareness month in the USA! Early detection is the best protection!  OK sorry to get so off topic....I will be quiet now...lol |

Yes October is...I always get mine in this month..well lucky me I get to go every six months. It's good to know about those pads, I'll mention that. Oh, I would be cold standing in that room trying to do my work. Do you really get used to it? I would have a forever cold.

 To be honest with ya, Saff....the staff doesn't notice the cold so much since we are fully clothed, (unlike the poor patients.) Plus, most of us are going through menopause right now..lol Hey....y'know what we need? A hot flash smiley! |
