After the wonderful post that Star gave us, I managed to get this picture this morning before leaving work. As some of you may or may not know, Nova Scotia got pounded with heavy snow the other day, I'm impressed I made it home, heck I thought I was going to be stuck at work....but anyway!! Just finding this and being able to photograph it, made my winter drive much more enjoyable! Such a small thing to make you smile! These are on the roof of my car...pretty isn't it?!

teehee yes it is real faery! It seems silly to be excited over such a simple small thing like a snowflake but it made me smile. You can't tell by the photo but it really was only the size of a pin head...I just happen to have a good zoom lens on my camera! lol

I LOVE winter and snow. These pictures are just beautiful. They remind me a lot of the photos of water crystals in Dr. Emoto's book. (do you know it? It's great)

Thats funny you said that Christine, when I posted the website about the snowflakes,,, I found it by stumbling,,, and I first saw it and thought, wow,, its just like messages in water... Then I read it and saw no it was snowflakes,,, so I wondered, does the energy of the place the snow is falling create the snowflake differently, I wonder...

Very interesting. I know that snow circles the cold atmosphere before falling and that is what creates the different shapes, but as far as different places is a good question. Like, in Colorado, where is snows a lot, or Canada, if the different atmosphere or elevations make it different. We have a mystery. Anyone know.
It makes logical sense that it does, but...nature is not always logical.
