  I agree that reiki is not a religion.Reikis orogins are rooted deep in Tibet.It was brought to Japan from Dr.Usui-he studied it and learned it in Tibet.Many of the symbols are what the Tibetan priest use everyday.It's normal for them. Just thought I'd add in some things I've learned. I also read reiki was brought here by the Goddess Shiva(Diane steins book)-but I believe none of us know.
