Got a few other Mermaid ones I thought might be fun to share! That I found in the mermaid book. teehee Most of the recipes call for everything organic or raw materials but it'll still work either way.
Mermaid Cakes
makes 1 dozen cakes
Ingredients:
* 450g/1lb wholemeal pastry flour * 6 tbsp baking powder * 450g/1lb rolled oats * 225g/8oz butter * 225g/8oz goat milk or milk * 4 large eggs * 225g/8oz dulse/seaweed * 1 tsp celtic sea salt/ salt
~ Preheat oven to 175C/350F and prepare to play! ~ Mix flour with baking powder and salt, while thinking joyful thoughts. ~ Toss in the oats. Tell them you love them! ~ Cut the butter, while "cutting the rug" (cutting the rug means to dance!teehee) ~ Whip the milk and eggs together, while adding some delight ~ When the flour mixture is coarse, stir in milk and eggs, and sing your favorite song as if you were an opera diva! ~ Put the dulse in a strainer and run water over it until it is entirely wet and softens enough to shred. Shred or cut the dulse in small pieces and mix with the batter. Sing an imitation of your favorite singer or group. ~ Take a greased baking sheet and drop batter onto the sheet making 12 mounds. You can wet your hands and shape the cakes if needed. Put in the oven for 30-45 minutes or until they are done. They should be pale in colour. ~ Take out and serve with butter
