Here's one I got from Mr. Food many years ago, back in my younger, more sinful days. It is super easy and tastes like it came from a fancy bakery.
Chocolate Caramel Swirl Pie
Serves 6-8
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened 1 package (4-serving size) chocolate instant pudding ½ cup milk 1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping such as cool whip) 1 9-inch chocolate graham cracker pie crust 4 Tbsp caramel flavored topping sauce
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese for 2-3 minutes, until creamy. Slowly add the pudding mix and milk. Continue beating until smooth. Add 2 cups of the whipped topping and stir until well blended. Spoon mixture into the pie crust. Drizzle with 3 Tablespoons of the carmel toppingand use a knife to swirl it into the cream cheese filling. Completely cover the top of the pie with remaining whipped topping. Drizzle with the remaining 1 Tablespoon of caramel topping sauce and freeze for 15 minutes. Serve or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Keep unused portions refrigerated.
(No joke, last time I made this, the recipients didn't believe that I made this pie in my own kitchen!)
