This is by far, my favorite salad in the world now. LOL!!! My mom-in-law gave me this recipe, we had it at her house a few weeks ago. SOOOOOO GOOODDDD!!
Japanese Salad
Ingredients: 1 pkg ichiban noodle seasoning (don't use the noodles) 1 tbsp sugar 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 tsp pepper 2 tbsp vinegar 1/2 cup soya sauce
1/2 cabbage, shredded 3 green onions, chopped 10 mushrooms, sliced 1/2 cup sunflower seeds 1/2 cup sesame seeds 3 cups bean sprouts 1/2 cup almond slivers
Method:
For sauce: Mix first 6 ingredients together and place in fridge for no less than 1/2 day.
Mix together veggies and nuts, add sauce and serve.
NOTE:
You can omit the sunflower seeds and almond slivers, but don't omit the sesame seeds...they make it super good!

Also, just a note: if you're too lazy to buy a cabbage and shred it -->points to self<--- then you can just buy a bag of coleslaw mix in the veggie section of the supermarket and use that.

I love cabbage. Even without the "dressing" this sounds wonderful. Yummy. And I'm trying to eat better, so this is a great way to start. no bread..

Bread is no good for you,,,, unless you eat sprouted or whole grain breads.... just think of it as being loving to your body,,, who needs empty filler, you know?
... at least thats what I keep telling myself and I lost quite a bit of weight the last month eating healthier,,, I needed it cause I gained some after surgery

Ichiban noodles are the packages of japanese noodles you get at the supermarket here at least lol. It's like oriental soup mix I'm sure you could also just add some powdered chicken soup base and it would also work.

And in regards to bread, you know what sucks? I make the best bread in the world so I'm always eating it lol. I just made Onion Focaccia a few days ago and it is super good.
