Many of us will be visiting on this holiday. A lot of casseroles are usually made. This has to be one of my favorites.\
2 lb bag of hash browns - thawed 2 C sour cream 1 can cream of chicken soup 1/2 C chopped onion 2 C shredded cheddar cheese 2 C bread crumbs (I use Progresso Plain) 1 stick butter
Mix all except bread crumbs and margerine together in a 9 x 13 pan. Mix crumbs and butter and sprinkle over top
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
If you eat immediately.....IT IS VERY HOT.

I love this casserole! Here it is called Funeral Potatoes because it is served at most Mormon funeral luncheons. My Mom always makes if for Christmas, too, but we never called it Christmas Potatoes............hmmmmmmmmmm..........lol

I know what you mean. I was looking through my recipes and there are certain ones that are tattered or splashed with food, those are the good ones, you know.
