If you've ever caught a whiff of a subtle perfume wafting through the air.... Or caught a glimpse of movement out of the corner of your eye yet when you looked no one was there. If you've ever heard the faint strains of music when no musicians were nearby.... Chances are you've had an encounter with the Fae.A long, long time ago, the Earth belonged to the creatures of the wood. By creatures of the wood I mean gnomes and elves, fauns and faeries, goblins, ogres, trolls and bogies, nymphs, sprites, and dryads. They tended it and took care of it, played, danced and sang in it, cared for wounded animals, sat on mushrooms discussing matters of import and drinking Labrador tea, rode down streams on leaves and bark, and parachuted from trees with dandelion seeds. This was the world into which mankind was born..................Mat Jacobson
"The realm of faery-story is wide and deep and high and filled with many things: all manner of beasts and birds are found there; shoreless seas and stars uncounted; beauty that is an enchantment, and an ever-present peril; both joy and sorrow sharp as swords. In that realm a man may, perhaps, count himself fortunate to have wandered, but its very richness and strangeness tie the tongue of the traveller who would report them. And while he is there it is dangerous for him to ask too many questions, lest the gate should be shut and the keys be lost."
J.R.R. Tolkien, "On Faery-Stories," in The Monsters and the Critics and Other EssaysEarly Europeans built fires to celebrate the Summer Solstice and to frighten off witches and faeries on this magical night. To enhance the power of these ritual fires, they burned herbs such as lavender, nettle, mullein, and betony. The most potent of these was hypericum, whose radiant yellow blooms were associated with the sun's magical powers. (In Greek, hypericum means "over the icon," for this protective plant was hung as an amulet above figures of the ancient gods.) To convert the European Pagens, Christian Priests assimilated their festivals into the calendar of saint's days, designating Midsummer Day as the feast of St. John the Baptist. They renamed hypericum St. John's wort (hypericum) and included it among the herbs burned as incense on this day.Susan Wittig Albert

As I read this, there are many times I see flickers out of my eyes. Since you told us about lying in bed and seeing them in the dark, I see the sparkles. But the music thing I had never heard of. But at least once a day and especially at night when everything is silent, I heard music and people talking over the music. But I can't hear what they are saying. But I hear the music. Almost everynight.
I also get whiffs of flowers or perfumes a lot. Like you said very subtle, but most definitely there. Sometimes, I know it is mom from the cologne she wore, but it is not only that smell.
I will ask my guide to confirm this is the Creatures of the Woods.
Thanks for the info

exactly. sometimes it can be our loved ones, surely and other times the fae. i guess there are tricks to learn to be able to know they are there. i've surely heard the wispering and yeah, it's hard to make out at times, just as it is with guides and spirits. that frequency is hard to hear and understand, but it IS possible. lemme know when you progress! i wanna keep up with your progress!

Don't forget the angels......could be them, too! I have heard the perfume called something wonderful......I'll post it if I think of it. Oh, I think it was called the "Flower of Life" by someone in a book. I get the whiffs of a heavenly scent that is like nothing on earth, and I hear the music playing, too. Sometimes I would swear there's a radio of softly, but there's not. Often in my car. The little sparkles I think are the fae (in my life anyway), the big flashes out of the corner of my eye I believe to be angels. I want to hear more, too, from all of you. I love this!

Exactly about the radio. I know for sure, there is none on, but I can hear it, but like I said, not able to make out the words. And the whispering. Wow. That used to happen a lot to me. I don't remember anything lately. Maybe I could request and see if they comply. Great way to confirm. I've gotta stop that, right. I believe completely and have faith, but I find myself asking for angels, fairys, guides or whatever, to show me they are here with me. Does anyone else do that. Sometimes I get upset with myself, I should have faith.

There is nothing wrong with asking for a confirmation from them in fact I think they like that we ask for confirmations... It shows them we are paying attention to them....

exactly, star. i also know that sometimes, life takes over and our attention can be diverted and not notice them as much. me personally, i feel their absence sometimes and make a point to 'reopen' to them on a regular basis. i know that when i stop paying attention, there is less activity, so every so often, it's good to just sit and reopen yourself to them, as well as guides and angels. if they think you aren't listening, they will slow their communication.

I concur! That is very true I have gone through that myself and then wondered why they weren't talking,,,, only to realize it wasnt them, it was me..... I have a particular guide that I have been connecting with for ohhh a year and half and she loves to just open my eyes to things,,, you know like those Ah Ha moments.... This was one of them....

I agree with Aura about trying to follow with your eyes. When I get the flash out of the corner of my eyes...I try to blink again and see if it is still there. Or the same about a twinkle in the room. But it seems it is only there a fraction of a second, but just enough to catch our attention. At least this is what happens to me.

yep, it took me a good bit of practice to actually focus on them and still can't always, since some of them disappear too quickly. fun though. lol.
