anyone know if citronella really works to repel mosquitoes? i just got 8 small starters and am about to pot them in the hopes that they will ward off the mutant skeeters we have down here. they are almost immune to bug spray...............in fact, i'm pretty sure it's like steroids to them. lol. anyhoo, just picking the unibrain to see if anyone has ever tried growing it?

I dont know about the plants, BUT the citronella candles that I have used worked great,,, the torch oil lamps were great also,,, not just mosquitoes, but flys too.... let me know how it works out for you!!

i have to say; the plant smells better than the candles. i actually likey. lol. the candles.......not so much:)

Never tried the plant but like Star I know the candles work. I also know that Avon skin so soft spray works too. Can you get Avon makeup stuff? If not let me know, I've got the inside scoop on that.

yeah, i can get avon stuff around here, but my mother will always send me stuff, since my godfather works for the company and he gives her free stuff all the time. lol. anyhoo, we're gonna see if the plant works. they're pretty with little pink flowers. we'll see.....
