Silica and Glass

Hi Gang,

I wasn't sure where to post this so I thought I'd start a new thread.

I've been meaning to share this for some time now. It's some information one of my friends (and teacher) shared with me and I thought I would share it here too.

It's about Glass and the Silica base (or sand) found in glass. I'm not a scholar in the area of stones, crystals or the compounds that make these things up...so I won't play all scientific on on the Internet LOL! I don't know the amounts of silica or anything of this nature.

But the info shared was that Silica can be found in Quartz, our Bodies and in Glass (among many other things). I've heard that Silicon can be found in everything in our Universe and that Sand makes up a huge part of the earth. But again... not a Scientist here, just little ole me.

But... you know glass, like as in your windows, cups, bowls and even picture frames. So opening up to the thought that we can charge anything and everything to our highest purpose is cool yanno? It's all part of our Oneness.

The thinking is that we can charge our glass just as we would any stone or crystal to an intended purpose.

The way to charge the glass would be the same as you would any stone. Either through intention, placing hands on it or Reiki. Which ever you would normally use.

This thinking goes back to what is believed to have been the purpose of the Atlanians having glass or crystal homes. It's believed they charged the crystal (glass) temples and homes for communication purposes.

I can't remember all of the info she channeled about this but I do know it resonated with me and I went straight home and activated all of the glass in my home to the highest purpose. Since doing so the energy in our home feels awesome!


That's about all I've got. Just thought I would share that you can charge your glass too. If anyone has info on the healing properties of Silica that would be cool to know more about. My Melody books are in storage in the garage and I'm too lazy to dig them out LOL! Tried looking some info up on the internet but maybe my searches were to specific as I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

Of course after I posted this I went to search for more on Silicon and Silica. Heres something interesting I found:




Silicon is found in everything from the Sun and other stars, as well as meteorites, to plants and animal bones. Many hundreds of minerals on Earth contain silicon and oxygen in various forms: for instance, silicon and oxygen form silica (SiO2), commonly known as sand. This sand is mixed with lime and soda (sodium carbonate), as well other substances, to make glass. The purest varieties of silica form quartz, known for its clear crystals, while impure quartz forms crystals of semiprecious gems such as amethyst, opal, and agate.

very cool info, there, missE. makes good sense to me. which, i've always believed that one can charge anything at all with intent. for example, when we send happies to each other, our intent of joy is inadvertantly placed there, even without our deliberately doing it, ya know? same concept goes for manefesting, right? placing our intent into the universe for a specific purpose. so, yeah, it would make perfect sense with something like this that shares common make-up attributes. very interesting. thanks!

Miss E. That makes complete sense. Funny thing is a few years ago, I used Gem Silica Sand to dry flowers. I can't believe I didn't connect the two. Silica is found everywhere. I agree about charging. Is there a global charge or cleansing? I smudged everything today, but I don't know if that does everything. Anyone have a thought on this?

I did a really good cleansing today...feels so much lighter in here. Every room, corner, window and door. Even a little outside around the house.

very interesting. Quartz is one of my favorite minerals and I have often wondered if concentrating so much on crystals means other kinds have undiscovered qualities. I currently live in Alabame and there is a lot of flint around here. It is a microcrystaline structure of quartz and a teacher of mine told me that it is a transformer. I was too stunned to ask for more info at the time because she said one of the pieces I showed her had bear energy. New to all this. My first post. Any thoughts and/or info greatly appreciated.

hi walto! i'm right next door to ya and we have alot of flint here too, as well as ALOT of slate and petrified wood. i never knew too much about the flint, really, so i appreciate the info! yeah, i think any and all stones of all kinds have their own energies, for sure, whether we know of them or no. i personally love to get new ones, read and learn of their properties and feel what unique energies they have. always learning something new, too! hope to hear more from ya!

I'm glad this thread came back up. I remember other posts about doing Reiki on everything and with sand being everywhere and in everything is a pretty awesome thing. Reiki on everything, a great practice to get into. I know I take quite a few "normal" things for granted even tho I know everything is alive. Wow
