Devi, Is it right hand on heart, or left hand on heart, or does it even matter?
I'm going to give it a try too. Thanks!

I usually do the same thing before falling asleep actually, it was almost automatic without thinking of it really, it was just the most comfortable way to place hands to do some reiki before sleep. As to hands, mine was usually left to heart, right to solar plexus. But whatever is comfortable, it shouldn't matter.

I do that too, even sometimes throughout the day if I need a boost I will put my hands both places for a quick fix... One of my teachers told me to try doing it with my hand on my heart and crown, the heart and solar plexus is more comfy for me and you dont get strange looks if you do it in public

Did you tell me, Star that after you do Reiki in the evening getting ready for bed, you leave your hands on the solar or sacral chakras? I've been doing that and find myself waking up in about 20 and my hands are still there, but I don't feel the energy as strong. It was a really cool idea.

I often put them on the sacral if I choose just one chakra because that is my problem chakra....

That makes more sense. Sacral it is.

I was teaching a Reiki class a few months ago and one of the students asked, if you are just doing one hand position what would you do. I explained it can vary from person to person but that I often do just heart & navel/solar plexus. Seems like we are all on a similar wavelength here...

Funny how everyone says the same thing on this one...I do as well. My heart and sacral area literally hurt sometimes. I think I give away my energy through those areas...

I may have told this before, but a lot of times when I do Reiki, I will nod out between chakras and wake up with my hands still in the position. It bothered me at first, but I think it was Star that said that the Reiki was needed in those areas a little more and sense Reiki makes me so relaxed at night..I nod off and wake when I am supposed to. Any one else had this experienc

Sometimes I might nod, sometimes I think that I think I nod but I really dont fall asleep but rather just go into that zone... Funny that we all are working on the same area though... I just thought, maybe most people do that,, but then I remembered one of my teachers said she always put her hand on her crown and root,,, so I guess everyone is different... I have sometimes done that too and sort of built an energy channel between the chakras,, but mostly if I am doing one or two it is the scaral/solar plexus...
