okies, i just had to share something that i thought was tre' cool! ok, so earlier today i bought myself a mala bracelet online. rosewood, yae! anyhoo, even though i had a good idea of how to use them, i decided to look it up to make sure. (i was correct, lol) so, i was watching this youtube vid of a guy's hands holding his mala necklace and explaining the basic use of them right? he said there are alot of mantras, of course, but a basic, simple one to begin with is "so ham". he explains that so ham is a mantra that simply means 'i am he, he is me, connection to the divine or being one with the divine'. i began to smile immediately. a while back, i may have posted about it, during a meditation on a beautiful day, i recieved a very clear, resonating message....."i am all - all is me". (yep, under my pic here). i never heard that mantra. i really never thought of the concept, actually, until i recieved that message. the second i heard him explain that mantra, i smiled, cuz i knew i was blessed with that message. no one (physical) 'told' me. i hadn't heard it somewhere else before today! it was like a personal affirmation of what my message meant and where it came from. sounds like the perfect mantra for me, yeah? i can't wait till my mala gets here! okies, ramble share done:)

Very cool, Aura! And I am a big fan of malas and other types of prayer beads like the rosary. I probably have like 10 of them. Good stuff!

lol, yeah, i know right? i have a catholic rosary, buddhist prayer beads from tailand (that i wear every single day) but i've been wanting a mala for a while. i really want a necklace, too, but a braclet will suffice for now. i'm thinking on making my own mala necklace one day. maybe;)

I actually bought some wood beads so I could make a mala of my own also,,, I just havent been feeling great and playing with my beads... when I do I will make one though... I got some actual seeds that have holes in them that are beads... One is peach pits and the other seeds,,, I forget now,,, but I think they are way cool

yea i think thats normal,,, and the bracelet is 27 beads... that way you can just do the bracelet 4 times and its the same thing as the full mala... maybe ill make myself a bracelet with the beads i have,,, i only have the longer one.

I recently received a mala and I may have mentioned I am a BIG fan of the affirmation I AM and practice it daily. What a great way to combine both. I think all malas have multiplies of 108. I mean, like 54, 27. Very cool indeed. I'm looking for more affirmations for things going on with me right now and "so ham" is a great one for right now....tanks
