So I have recently learned that I have a cheetah as a totem animal. I discovered a past life that I was killed by one, bitten on the back (go figure) while I was chased down by one in an arena in Italy... It was a really vivid process for me to go through that, and actually quite painful as well... Even just writing about it I am feeling all emotional...
I have always had a connection to cats, even the big wild cats and the little domestic ones too,,, I am owned by 3 domestic cats and having known about my black panther guide for a long time, this cheetah was no big surprise but it was a surprise in how it played a part in my past with me...
I looked in the Animal Speak book for cheetahs but didnt find anything on them, and I am going to look online, but I figured I would start a topic here and see what others thought or had thoughts about this animal...
this is something I found online about the Cheetah...
Cheetah Wisdom If cheetah is your animal totem, it will teach you a lot about moving out ahead of everyone else by doing what's in front of you. Maybe you need to do your homework before the sun goes down. "Get it done", says Cheetah, so that you will have some daylight to play with your friends. Cheetah may mention that you waste too much energy thinking and wishing when you need to get up and go. Is it that you are lazy or are you just stubborn? Or is it you don't believe in yourself enough? Believe that you have the power of a Cheetah and you will surely attain your goals.
Like that fits me,,, Ive had such a wonderful vacation spending time with friends and family, having some serious energy work done to me and through me as well the past week while at Anameres house,,, and I feel like there is so much that I need to focus on now, when I get home I can really see myself getting into a connection with this animals medicine and having it help me along my path...

Ok, I just had to share some more information that I found online about the cheetah,,, for those that know me,,, know i do 100 things at once and i think one of the things cheetah is telling me is to focus in on one thing and pounce then rest,,, i do tend to forget about the rest part and wind up getting myself sick or scattered in my energy,,, this connection has been such a strong and powerful one for me.... i love eye openers like this...
oh and i found myself a pretty cheetah fleece blanket that I can use to cover myself up with when I work with cheetah energy in my meditations and journeying,,, I am grateful so much Anamere for helping me find this totem,,, the more I read and learn about this the more it seems to fit me right now!
So heres the other stuff I found about it online,,, thoughts, ideas, or anything pop up for anyone with me while reading all of this?
Cheetah, Power Animal, Symbol of Focus, Accelerating Time
By Ina Woolcott
Cheetah's medicine includes - speed and focus, brotherhood, elusiveness, ability to focus intently on something for a short period of time, swiftness, self-esteem, accelerating time, keenness of sight
Different to other felines, who stalk, then swiftly jump on their prey for the kill, cheetahs, the fastest animals alive, run down their prey.
The lesson to be learned here, the inspiration, is to fulfil our goals with speed and focus. When we feel stuck, cheetah energy can help us spring into motion. If we are moving with great speed but with little direction, cheetah medicine can help us to keep our eyes on our goals, to focus, and to find the most direct way of achieving them.
Sometimes we must carefully consider all aspects of a plan to reach a goal. At other times, it may be necessary to be flexible and adaptable in rehashing plans. However, sometimes the most important thing to do is to act with both speed and focus. The goal is almost reached, but continually putting something off, or lack of clarity keeps one from accomplishing it. It is at times like this that cheetah medicine is extremely valuable.
There is more wisdom to be taken from the cheetah's actions - there are those who want to accomplish their goals but who may take on too many goals at one time. Though the cheetah is able to reach speeds of up to 63miles per hour, it can only maintain this incredible speed for a short period of time. Afterwards, it must rest for around 15 minutes.
The cheetah period of rest teaches us that intense activity should always be followed by a time of rest, relaxation, and contemplation.

How awesome. I saw the process start and it was absolutely amazing. Kudos to Annamere and Peggy who helped this info come out for you Star. I think you have found a totem animal that may be more of a life totem, or at least a really long one. I really happy for you. Oh, yea...it is so you

That is so awesome! Some one else with a cheetah as a totem! It's one of the many reason I got it as a tattoo. I've always loved this graceful and powerful creature. It blows me away that you were taken down by one in a past life. Kinda makes me wanna learn more about why I'm so connected to them. I'm glad you've had this chance and this journey of learning, I think it's wonderful!

Yea I know,,, I thought the same thing,,, flexible spine,,, hmmm... One thing that I was told by my trainer is that my spine is actually TOO flexible and that is part of my back issues,,, too flexible and it just moves about too much,,, I thought that was so interesting when I started learning more about Cheetah... I did a really awesome meditation a couple days ago with Cheetah, I asked her a few questions and she is starting to really warm up to me. I am just loving her energy and I ask her to be with me when I send Reiki and help with healing, she has been there, but the more I work at connecting with her, the more she is around, so that is cool... One of the questions I asked her, was her name and she told me something so cool,,, she said she does not need a name, just call her Cheetah and she will answer... I dunno that just gave me chill bumps when she said that
