Does anyone know of any herbal/homeopathic therapies a person can do if they have high blood pressure? A dear friend of mine his high blood pressure and is on medication for it. He's only 33 and has had this problem for about one year or so. I am going to give him reiki but does anyone know of anything else that can be used?

Essential oils that are said to help with high blood pressure are:
Ylang Ylang Clary sage Lavender Marjoram Lemon
You can use those above essential oils to massage your body, put it in a diffuser or enjoy your bath with those oils. Use 2 drops of each oils.
Mix 3 drops each of Lavender, Marjoram & Ylang Ylang and put it in your left palm, mix clockwise 3 times and then apply to the soles of both feet. Put a drop or two of the oil on your wrists as well.
Massage your feet (heart point) with lavender essential oils.

What about breathing and meditation? I know that I can lower my blood pressure with my breath,,, for someone that has a problem with it,,, I would think that they are stressed out some maybe? Maybe ridding oneself of the stresses and see if that helps too

Perhaps it has something to do with a past life-maybe a regression would be helpful

k, i had to check on this before i posted. i have several herbs at home that i know help and others i looked up for you....
Stir one teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a cup of warm water. Drink as needed to lower high blood pressure. Cooking with cayenne not only adds flavor to your food, but is a delicious way to benefit from its medicinal properties. Blanch corncob hairs in boiling water. Strain into a cup of freshly brewed green tea. Drink once daily. Dissolve one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in one glass of water. Drink as needed to lower high blood pressure. Place one of the herbs listed below in a cup. Cover with one cup of boiling water, and let steep for 10 minutes. Drink two to three times a day. Dill leaves Parsley Ruta leaves Celery leaves Passion fruit Olive leaves, crushed
i know there's lots more, actually, but i figured this is enough for now? lol. hope it helps ya.

Hello Author,
Your friend I hope is better now if not do some hypnosis. When I was in school for it years ago my Hypnosis Instructor hypnotized the owner of the building my school was in and Frank my instructor hypnotized the owner into an extrem state trance level.
While he was in that deep state of relaxation he suggested to him that his blood pressure will lower. We waited and I took his blood pressure. It was lowered slightly then my instructor told him to lower it further to a safe level for him. So we waited a few minutes and again I took his blood pressure.
It dropped to a safe lower level. He told him it would remain at that level unless he wants to change it himself with self hypnosis then he counted him up.
He had a heart attack a week before the hypnosis and my instructor knew of his condition. The simple suggestion and the Hypnosis just by itself was RELAXATION which he needed also for stress release for his condition. He was still told to take his blood pressure pills until his doctor had more check up with him to allow lower dosage of his medications.
In time for him he did get off his meds.
Hope this helps also.

Sending Reiki.... everyone has some great ideas. Anything that will bring relaxation and work on decreasing stress. We were at a Health Fair... had clients check blood pressure before and after 10 minutes of relaxing chair massage and both systolic and diastolic b/p numbers had gone down 10 points. Reiki can be extremely relaxing and helpful in lowering blood pressure Reiki blessings Willow
