New to Reiki

My wife and I are both retired and from reading quantum physics like "What the Bleep", The Holographic Universe and many others I found the ability to channel energy. My wife picked it up as did my son-in-law and perhaps the grand children. I use the energy for healing of self and wife and try to send distance healing to family and friends. We will be taking Reiki 1 soon in Guelph Ontario. I just want to establish contact and ask for advice.
P.S. Some really weird but wonderful stuff has happened.
