It is common knowledge that 80% to 90% of most chronic health conditions are triggered by toxins. Toxins are carcinogens which cause damage to our DNA, and brain function, cause cells to divide faster than their normal rate, thus causing all kinds of cancer, as well as neurological disorders and so forth.
What is a toxin? Where do they come from?
A toxin is poison to the body and breaks it down. Toxins as in heavy metals (mercury in amalgam fillings, lead, arsenic etc), pesticides, herbicides are carcinogenic (cancer causing) which can create cancer, trigger neurological disorders etc.
Toxins bio-accumulate (increase in their concentration) over time.
These poisons come from:
Prescription and non-prescription drugs (whether prescribed or over the counter) including aspirin, cold remedies and pain relievers. A drug for lowering cholesterol for example, has an adverse effect on the liver. Then when the liver isn’t functioning very well down the road, we take another drug to treat those symptoms. Keep in mind, drugs to do not cure disease and do not treat causes. They are often taken off the market once time has passed and the toxic effect can no longer be ignored.
Food - Produce is sprayed with chemical pesticides, herbicides and synthetic fertilizers and grown with genetically engineered seeds…unless it is organic.
Pesticides and Herbicides are designed to kill living organisms. We are living organisms.
From 1991 to 1999 pesticide use in the United States increased over 120%. The pesticide industry is very politically influential with a goal of expanding their income. Unless one eats organic fruits and vegetables, one is continuously exposed to pesticides and herbicides. The most common affect of pesticide ingestion is cancer and the increased levels of toxicity in the brain and nervous system.
Meat comes from animals which are eating the above toxins in their grain and are given antibiotics as well as growth hormones to speed up the animal’s growth (so it can be sold faster). We end up eating this meat along with the hormones, chemicals and antibiotics from these unhealthy animals.
Nitrates are common ingredients in processed meats and they cause cancer, plain and simple and should be avoided. They are found in fried bacon, sausage, hot dogs, cured lunchmeats, nonfat dry milk and more.
Dairy products – Unless dairy products are organic, they contain growth hormones. Pasteurization heats the milk to a very high heat to destroy any bacteria, yet it kills the live enzymes. Homogenization disrupts the molecular structure of the milk, which is very difficult on our body organs.
Juice – Fruit juices are made from overly ripe fruit, high in mold and bacteria. This fruit cannot be sold because it is too ripe, so it is made into juice. It is best to make your own juice with a juicer.
There are 1000’s of chemicals, additives and preservatives put in foods which are packaged, processed, micro-waved and frozen and these poisons are not required to be printed on the label.
What about coffee and tea? There are 800 different chemicals used to process coffee. However if grown organically, there are no chemicals, herbicides, pesticides or additives used in processing. Tea can be therapeutic and beneficial when used medicinally. Keep in mind tea bags do not have a long shelf life, and can quickly become moldy.
Carbonated sodas often contain phosphoric acid and are high in sugar. Phosphoric acid along with caffeine depletes calcium from the bones and teeth. AND cancer loves sugar.
When you purchase food, ask yourself how close is this to its natural form and is this produced as nature intended? Remember the terms “Natural” and “all natural” do not equate to “organic.” Natural and All Natural are marketing words.
Water – All tap water contains chlorine, fluoride and other chemicals. Distilled water will remove all of these, but you must add minerals back in. For excellent alkaline, filtered water consider trying out a filtration system.
Skin – Our skin is the largest organ of the body. Anything we put on our skin is absorbed into the bloodstream i.e. lotions, sunscreen, make-up, shaving cream, shampoo etc.
Mercury fillings leak vapors in our mouth 24 hours a day.
Arsenic – Wood/lumber used for outdoor projects, decks, picnic benches etc. leach arsenic, which is carcinogenic.
Fumes we breathe in from exhaust, to cleaning supplies and air freshners contribute to the toxic overload. Check the products in your home and environment which have a scented fragrance; you may discover these are produced from chemicals.
Fast food, processed, micro-waved, frozen, irradiated food hangs around at the bottom of our food chain.
There are many other sources of toxins as in mold, pollens and dust.
