Has anyone ever used her(Diana Stein) attunement method from her book "Essential Reiki"....it seems so much easier. If so what were your experiences.

I believe it is possible, however I also believe the person would need a great deal of spirituality to be able to receive a self attunement. I'm sure there are people who could indeed do this. I loved receiving the energy from a Master.
My thoughts...

What I meant was in her book she does attunements a totally different way than what I was taught.I like her way....it seems more practical but I guess as long as your attuning someone it doesn't matter how it's done-your attuning and it's the intent. She just uses a modern version---not the traditional version.

no i havent, i use what i was taught by my master... i need to get that book from the person i loaned it to, someone else brought up her recently... i honestly cant remember how she does the attunements,,, i have a hard time remembering stuff like that unless i actually practice it, reading stuff like that out of a book is hard for me to remember,,, after a while i just forget it unless i work it.....
so what do u think of it Angela? I am curious now hehe,,, i told u im part cat lol

Honestly.....I liked it! Here it is:Straight from the book-"Esential Reiki" Hold the Hui Yin position with your tongue at the roofof the palate at all times.Hold your breath unless you are blowing, then takeanother deep breath and hold it.The Reiki Master stands to pass attunements; The students are seated in straight-backed chairs with hands held palms together at chest height. 1. From the back: Open the crown. This can be visualization or hand movement. Trace the Dai-Ko-Myo over the crown.Reach for over the shoulders to take the students hands, and blow into the crown.Take a deep breath and hold it.Trace the other symbols over the crown: Cho-Ku-Rei,Sei-He-Ki, Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen.Take the hands and blow into the crown .Take another deep breath and hold it. 2.Come to the front: Open the students hand like a book.Trace the Cho-Ku-Rei over both palms.Tap three times.Trace the Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen over both palms.Tap three times .Trace the Dai-Ko-Myo over both palms.Tap three times.Fold the hands together, and hold them in one of your hands.Blow from Root to Heart.Take a deep breath and hold it . 3.Close the Aura, with the symbols inside it.(Do not close the crown chakra.)Trace the Raku down the back of the spine.Release Hui Yin, release the breath. So,I have a couple of questions........how do you open the crown w/o using Dai-Ko-Myo-I thought this was the symbol used to open the crown-how do you use your hand to do it or visualize? Also do you draw the symbol over both hands or on each hand? How do you not close the crown chakra? I like it-----I just am unclear of some things!

hmm, i dont do it like that, so i dont know how to answer those questions!
I guess i would suggest learning from a teacher and not a book to learn how to do it,,, which is why i think its important to get training from a teacher, so you can figure out what shes talking about by asking questions.

Anamere is my(Master) teacher and she gave me the instructions for it.I have used the ones from her-to do the reiki II attunement on my youngest-and it went great.I just didn't know if anyone had tried these yet.I also found my answers to my questions on the internet---watched several attunements.I tried this out last night on my oldest and youngest. It worked. It was just very hard to control the breath-I guess it takes a lot of practice.I guess I'll just go with whichever one I seem to prefer. It all came down to that there are several different ways people pass attunements. As long as it's passed and the intention is there I say go for it!

I agree, Angela. There are lots of ways to attune, but the intention is really all that matters.
