Merkaba

Hi All.

What's a merkaba symbol, and where did it come from? I've seen some healers use shaped crystals, but I never really understood their function.

Here is some info I found. I have a Merkaba, and find the energy amazing!
Merkaba, also spelled Merkabah, is the divine light vehicle allegedly used by ascended masters to connect with and reach those in tune with the higher realms. "Mer" means Light. "Ka" means Spirit. "Ba" means Body. Mer-Ka-Ba means the spirit/body surrounded by counter-rotating fields of light, (wheels within wheels), spirals of energy as in DNA, which transports spirit/body from one dimension to another.

Wow...cool stuff. I saw some for sale at the rock show I went to last week and wondered what they were for. Plus I remember my very first Reiki teacher having a whole set of them.

I have a merkaba shaped rose quartz in the middle of my healing grid.... I thought it was a perfect compliment to the grid itself.... i have seen everything from earrings to pendulums with merkabas on them,,, nice stuff!
