It's no wonder I like to invoke this goddess, I love my baths!
Sulis (British) Also known as Sul, Sulla, Sulevia, Sulivia
An ancient goddess of healing waters whose shrine was a the Bath spa in southern England, Sulis's name means "eye" and "seeing." So it makes sense that she helps with physical and psychic vision. The eye is also associated with the sun, so Sulis is known as a sun goddess as well which is rare, as it is mainly males that are seen in this role and females are usually left to be seen with the moon and the stars. This solar association may also stem from her relationship with the hot springs.
She oversees all pools of water associated with healing especially natural hot springs. Today in Bath, people come from all over the world to drink from her well in the center of the hot springs restaurant. The water is rich with sulfur, and is said to function as a fountain of youth.
She can help you with blessing and clairvoyance. She has keen eyesight and will help you with yours both spiritual and physical. She can also help with gardening, she would help with the water you place on your plants, be the rainbow in the sky; it is all associated back to water in some way -even oxygen is and she is a major part of water and its essence. She will help with water used in ceremonies and with wishes as well.
To invoke this lovely lady, invite her to any ceremony involving water. You can conduct a version of a water ceremony by drawing a hot bath and filling it with sea salt, essential oils, and a few flower petals. Surround the bath with candles, soft music, and at least one potted plant! Dim the lights, ignite the candles, and as you get into the bath say:
Sister Sulis, I invite your loving presence. Sulis, please bring your beloved blessings, your caring nature, your spiritual vision, and your youthful beauty; and bestow it upon waters within and around me. Please help fulfill my wish which is (describe the wish). Thank you, beloved Sulis. Thank you.
