Real or Dream?

You ever have a vivid dream that just sits in your head and the next day either that happens or something very similar to that happens... I do that often,,, and this is the most current one...

It was Tuesday night, I dreamt that my son and my daughter and I were in my moms van, my son is 10 so he does not drive yet, but I dreamt that he was going to drive. In my dream my daughter gave him a piece of bubble gum before he started to drive then he started to choke on it, which I freaked out and woke myself up. Sometimes I know I am dreaming and when I have something unpleasant in the dream I can make myself wake up, it's weird how that happens but it does. Anyhow I panicked and went to grab him and woke up...
Naturally the dream bothered me, I got out my 20,000 dreams book and looked up choking. It says sometimes you feel like you can't say what you want to say or a creative blockage. I thought ok, that doesnt really fit but ok...

This is real life now....

So the morning happens, my mom comes over to help me do some gardening... We were doing some stuff and it came time to take my daughter to work, she works at Dunkin Doughnuts (first job) well I get in the car and I remember the dream and as I get in the car (the kids beat me to getting in) I started saying to them, I had this weird dream last night and saying to my daughter,,, I dreamt that you (my daughter) gave him (my son) a piece of gum. As I said that they both look at me and she says I did just give him gum, like literally he was just chomping on with the wrapper still in hand. I thought wow and got a weird shiver and made them both spit the gum out. They protested but I finished telling them my dream and just said humor me and do this for me.... Well they did and then I tried to start my car.... It wouldnt work... So I go get my mom and tell her, she says take my van.... I got in the van with the kids and I was just like, you know this is really weird.... Both the kids agreed with me.... It was weird about the gum in the first place, but then getting into her van like we did in the dream it just gave me shivers... I was glad to have made the kids spit the gum out... I know,,, might sound a little strange and maybe it was just nothing, but better safe then anything,, like most parents I am pretty protective...

Has anyone else had a dream that was similar to something that happened in life? I have had many, this being just the most recent.... I am trying to remember my dreams now, I never had much interest in it until lately, I think its the gemstones I sleep with....

can we say premonition boys and girls? lol. very cool, though, star. i have had similar dream situations. different things, throughout my life. deja vu, all the time, too. i've always played it off to my 'other dimensional self'. (shrugs). it just happens way to often, that i figured my counterpart in another dimension has already done that very same thing. i'm almost used to it now. good thing you took notice, though. probably kept a bad thing from happening. kudos!

Star, I don't always remember my dreams... but when I have "those kind" i always don't remember ever detail either... I just rememeber the part that's important. Sometimes I have those freaky dreams.. that something really unusual happens. but I say PREMONITION for you too...

I know I dream... but I wake up not remembering the dream at all,, or just peices of it. I'll tell ppl.. i dreamt of you last night... and they always say oh yeah? what did you dream?? and of course I have to say I CAN"T REMEMBER LOL

A couple of nights ago my sister called me at 11:30 pm. I was sound asleep and didn't even hear my cellphone ring. She called the house phone and it woke me up. She asked me if I was ok, because she had been listening to "The Secret" on cd and had this vivid picture of my face right in front of her. It was very weird, I was totally "out" and think maybe I astral traveled to her.

Way cool dream Star, sounds like a premonition to me, too.

wow, obviously a good thing you remember your dreams! When mine are that vivid like that it's usually bits and pieces that are going to be real and it never happens right away, it's usually a little later down the road when you may have forgotten the dream and then something does happen from the dream and it all floods back and I remember it, like deja vu. Does that make any sense?

Yes that totally makes sense Sloan,,, I am just the opposite... The mystery dreams they are bits and pieces to me, like some sort of code or something like that... The important premonition-like dreams are clear,,, no doubt. This has happened before,,, its just freaky when it does!
