i was just sitting outside, meditating, as i do when the weather is just perfect. the sun is shining, the shade is breezy, the creatures of nature are making their little sounds as they flutter and chase each other around. it's just perfect. a typical connection meditation, right? then, as always happens, my muses of nature inspire this poem. i guess it's a miniscule glimpse of what meditation brings to me.
~meditation~
hear the wind rustling through the trees
feeling the wonderful cleansing breeze
hear the birds singing melodeous song
feeling happiness and joy all the day long
feel the earth solid underneath
fulfilling your soul, strength to unsheath
in the distance, the sound of a hoof
majestic deer brings power aloof
funny little squirrels chitter and chase
laughter springing within, a smile on your face
the sky so blue, an endless casm
wonder abounds as a loving spasm
peace, calm and connection enter
these wonderful gifts join your center
after all is finished, said and done
thanks to all, as well The One
