OK, so I was just sitting here thinking about the stones I have in my collection, and I realized that there are a few in there that I regard as real friends. They give off such wonderful vibes that I want to have them with me at all times. It's not the kind of stone, mind you. It's individual stone. For example, I have several pieces of rose quartz, but I love one of them in particular...my heart shaped stone. I carry it everywhere. Then there's my labradorite, which I sleep with it in my right hand almost every night. Sometimes, when I am sending distant healing, I use the labradorite as a proxy for the person I'm sending it to. These two stones actually seem happy to be in my house, does that make sense? It's like when you see a really good friend or loved one walk in the room, and you get that comfortable feeling. So, do any of you have stones that give you the warm fuzzies, too?

Gosh that is a hard question for me, there are some stones that I just adore, I dunno if it is cause they are whatever kind of stone they are or because I just love that particular stone though... Some kinds of stones REALLY resonate with me though, for sure and some I love taking along with me places,,, some others I have had for a while and they eventually click with me, and yet some I have yet to make that connection with them... Either way, I look at rocks, crystals, gems (whatever you wana call them) as having spirits of their own,,, so I guess in a way I do connect with some of the rocks more then others... hmmmmmmmm now im thinking lol

It's kinda funny how they each seem to have personalities of their own. Kinda like your pets and kids....every one is different, yet the same.....

I love Carnelian! I aso have an affinity for amethyst, charoite, sugilite, citrine, and smoky quartz. I have a very interesting relationship with the scepter I dug up last fall. When I hold it I have incredible spiritual experiences. I was holding the first time I read an aura. I have to keep it in a special place, and not near me at night or I don't get any sleep. I have all sorts of crazy dreams, like my 3rd eye is working over time. It is an incredible stone, but too intense to keep with me all the time. Kristi

I must admit there are so many favorites. There are 2 necklaces I wear most. A piece of heriker Star wrapped and my ametrine. There are a couple of stones I like around me. Although, like Star said, it all depends on the day and my moods. I have to keep some of them away from me during certain activities. Mostly I have a lot of quartz, clear, elestial, Tibetian, herks,,,you get the idea.

So whats your favorite then Joanie? My number one fave is my heart shaped Rose Quartz, number two is my tumbled labradorite, and three is my larimar pendant, which I wear close to my throat chakra. But it's hard to pick a favorite rock, just like it would be hard to pick a favorite child...lol How 'bout you Star? Seems like lots of you like the carnelian. Wonder why keeps coming up....

Hmm, my favorite,,, if I HAD to pick one,,,, would prolly be rhodochrocite... In fact I bought myself a new piece today but decided to give it to my neighbor,,, it was so pretty but I think it belonged to her... So guess that means I gota go back to the rock shop and get another one,,, oh darn! LOL!! I have a "crush" on the pinkies,,, rhodochrocite, petalite, rhodonite, garnet, pink opal, pink kunzite, rose quartz... I just loooveee them,,, but you know,,, it depends on my mood too! I have been really attracted to garnet lately but thats something that comes and goes, it is my birthstone so I am not surprised with that...
The past week I have been wearing this little bag necklace, it holds a couple little stones in it and I have a garnet, a carnelian and golden rutilated quartz in it,,, oh and a little piece of lepidolite... The necklace bag hangs around my sacral chakra, i just keep it under my shirt and use the little versions of the stones i have,,, I have been working with the lower chakras this week and staying balanced,,, and the lepidolite because I plan on fasting next week and getting rid of toxins,,, so im like preparing for that...

I completely know what you mean. I found a stone once and could not stop holding it. I was going through a very difficult time and this stone really comforted me, if you can understand that. It turns out it was a piece of larimar and I have it with me all the time. I love it in a very real way.

I think, I might I don't know, but there maybe a piece of Larimar here. I neglected to put a tag on it until I became familiar with it. I was told it could be larimar or howlite. Don't ask me, I thought howlite was white and now I see they have different colors.
