OK I saw someone posting something about really bad cramps on another topic...was it you, Sloan? Anyhoo...it brought to mind my two fail-proof menstrual cramp cures:
# 1 is Raspberry leaf tea....not to be confused with raspberry flavored tea. Traditional Medicinals makes a good organic raspberry leaf tea. I think it tastes just like regular ol' black tea, without the caffeine, although others have disagreed with me on this. Regardless of the taste, it always knocked my cramps out cold, 100% of the time. It works by relaxing those uterine muscles, so don't drink it if you are preggers, unless you are 1-2 weeks from your due date. If you are near delivery, it can help soften the cervix, and hasten the onset of labor.
#2 Cramp cure, which really is my favorite, is the homeopathic remedy called Sabina. It comes in sugar pellet form, and the active ingredient is sprayed upon the outside of the pellet, so you should not touch the pellets with your fingers, or you will rub it off, and the remedy will be ineffective. Boiron makes Sabina, and it comes in a little blue dispenser which allows you to just dispense the pellets into the lid of the package, and then you can just toss 'em into your mouth without touching them.
Sabina will also lighten a heavy flow.....always a plus! And it works within 20 minutes of taking it.
I had debilatating endometriosis for several years, and these two remedies were the only thing that kept me sane and functional.
It is my hope that y'all will find them as wonderful as I did.
