Not sure if this post fits here, but here it is... Have any of you ever practiced dowsing with L-rods? I recently re-arranged my bedroom furniture and used my L-rods to determine the best place for my bed. Interestingly enough, my bed was on the wrong side of the room. Tonight is my first night trying out the new location. I will let you know how it works out. Who else on this forum has used dowsing to find objects, power points, and other things? Would love to hear others' experiences!

I actually used them for good old fashioned water witching when I needed to know where an underground pipe was! It worked! And I've had people use them on my aura to show where various problems were. For example I had had a life-threatening injury to my carotid artery, and the girl didn't know this, but there was a huge "hole" in my aura where the rod went waaaayyyyy out. She taught me how to mentally "putty" up the hole, and the rod didn't go out next time. She also had me imagine things on the floor, like a pizza or a brick, and every time, the rods reacted correctly to where I had mentally placed the item! It is fascinating! I've never used it as you have.......good luck with your room, and I'd love to hear if you sleep soundly!

I've seen them used to check your aura as Lynn has said but I haven't had any real practice with them. I'm planning to take a class though, there's one at my fave shop soon!

Wow, I would LOVE to take a class! How fortunate you are, Sloan. I'm just going on the info I got out of a book. Lyroc, isn't it amazing how that water witching works? Well, I'm sleeping great in my new location. Even though nothing else has changed in or around my room (other than the position of the bed) the vibe feels much cozier and serene.

Alas, it is one of those Barnes & Noble kits that came with the book, pendulum, L-rods, and a few multipurpose charts. The book was written by Walter Woods.
I'm sure you could find plenty of books on the subject on the Internet.

Well, it's very very basic....It's a good starter if you know absolutely nothing on the subject, which I don't..lol You can make the L-rods and a Y-rod out of anything really. Even a bent coat hanger or a willow branch.

My family has always used welding rods for witching. We have three wells on our property that we witched (two with welding rods, one with an apple branch). Once you find where the water is, you can also locate the depth by stomping up and down until the rods cross each other. All the "city folks" who moved onto our road used to call my grandfather to witch wells for them. Strangely enough, all the members in my family who can witch wells, can't wear a watch because it won't keep time. Can only wonder if the two have anything to do with one another.

My Step-Dad calls it "Well Witching" I thought that was just an Indiana thing! Too funny! My Step-Dad does dowsing with coat hangers bent as welding rods with like card board rolled around the ends. Did it a couple months ago to find a well on their property.

So like when you are witching for a well to dig, what are you looking for? Like an underwater source? Gosh I wonder what it would be like in South Florida, if you dig a little down ANYWHERE here, you will find water,,, we are only a few feet above sea level all over down here.... Maybe thats why I really never learned much about this,,, cause down here there is no point to it.... Hmmmmm, how interesting!

Yeah, generally you're locating an underground vein of water that will keep flowing to your future well. We ended up putting two wells on the same vein, even though they're different ends of the property, so one of them runs dry often. And you're welcome to send some of that water up here; we've nary a drop to spare this year!

You know when I heard about dowsing for water, I thought of the same thing about Florida. If you go deep enough, there is a lot of water.

Hehe yea,,, actually were in a drought here as well... It's just that we are so close to the ocean that the water table is only a few feet below us. We have had some nice rain here recently tho,,, but we need some more to get back up to par
