Hi All - I'm new here. I've been reading about everyone's favorite music, but I have a different question...does anyone have favorite music to share that they use for healing? I ask because I’ve just got the new Deuter album, "Koyasan: Reiki Sound Healing" and it’s gorgeous Reiki music - or yoga music - or meditation music. I've been listening to it all day. Listen to samples here: ((((Post modified by administrator---- Sorry no selling links here!)))) Thanks - Forum Moderators!I took this from the website: Deuter puts his entire palette of musical abilities on display on Koyasan. This CD incorporates a global mixture of instruments, including the Chinese erhu, Japanese shakuhachi flute, East Indian tamboura and Tibetan bowls, as well as shimmering keyboard textures. Deuter takes the listener on a serene, mystical voyage through a variety of peaceful soundscapes with a relaxed and soothing pace. The music is soothing, contemplative and intimate. Anymore suggestions? Daiva

For meditating I like different kinds depending on my mood. I have Native Flutes, Drumming, Crystal Bowls and I have a few of mixes some friends made for me. I have one favorite, although I can listen to it while meditating and that is a live Pow Wow. It is amazing and it is great to listen to if I am moving around my room or changing and cleaning around.

I love Native American flute music and use that most often. I also have lots of the music by Christopher Love. If you listen to it with a headset on, it's wonderful! I often have my clients listen to him.

Agilecairnes, What kind of music does Christopher Love do? Is it Native American, or some other flavor?

I really like Peter Davison. He has a really cool sound and there are flutes, bowls, bells, chimes and tones incorporated in the music that I feel are very helpful. He has like a Meditation CD and a Healing CD and like some others but I really like the meditation and Healing. So I recommend those. Most people hear it during a session and ask who it is and want a copy LOL!
Also I really like "Anahata Sacred Sound" which I stumbled upon on Myspace. I just bought the CD just the other day but haven't gotten it yet. I really like the Bija Chakra Meditaiton. It's very cool! It's like house music sort of then it'll have this soft voice say "Please focus on your crown chakra" and like you'll hear a crystal bowl tone. It s just very very cool!
Ok that's all I got for now LOL!

Christopher Love does music that is rather eclectic. It's meant to get you into a meditative state more quickly by working with brain waves. He does have some self hypnosis CD's too. The one on managing pain is excellent.

Wow - thanks for alll the wonderful welcomes and music suggestions. You all are awesome. I will definitely check out your recommendations - and I just got a new CD too...Love & Peace by Lisa Lynne and George Tortorelli. It’s such a beautiful mixture of the celtic harp and the bamboo flute…very ancient sounding, but also peaceful and tranquil. Very healing music. Perfect for massage, yoga, reiki and just relaxin’ by the fire. I’m enjoying it very much. I didn’t know I loved the bamboo flute so much!
