After a very snowy winter, today is the first day of spring (also the birthday of my 1st boyfriend). Today, I walked outside and the first thing I heard were birds chirping. That is the first time this year. I am so excited. Funny how little noises or aromas or other things that can just make you smile.

i know what you mean, saf. even though there have been signs here for a couple weeks, it's finally starting to get warmer in the daytime and everything is blooming so pretty, like the redwood trees with purple blossoms, camilla bush in white, japanese magnolia still has purple, but awesome dark green leaves now too........oh, and two different bright yellow vining bushes are filled out perfectly. (the birds are rather noisy too. lol.) and let us not forget the first spring butterflies are beginning to flutter. ain't it grand? lol. oh, and i love that adorable picture there. he he he....

I was enjoying the first day of spring too. It was blissfully peaceful, even if it did snow! lol Did some indoor planting in hopes that spring will really arrive here soon and I can play outside in the dirt again soon!

We all keep talking about visits...we do have the dig, remember. I hope some if not all will be able to come. Even if we don't have a pick in our hands, can you image the energy with all of us there. WOW
