Vista

I recently got a new computer .... and it has vista on it. I am able to do a lot of things. I don't know much about computers, but most programs are 32 bit, mine is 64. But so far that is ok.

Well, my issues...are. There are a lot of programs that just won't run correctly. I tried to run Stumble and couldn't do it.

The tech said do not download anything that doesn't say VISTA, but a lot say, but still do not let me download.

Is there anyone out there that knows more about VISTA???

I have Vista. I believe there is a special Stumble Toolbar for Vista. It works great for me. I have had issues, too. You just have to use the Vista version of everything. I like the OS, but it is kind of a pain.

omg, Stumble is only the coolest thing to happen to the internet! Go to stumbleupon.com to sign up. It is a tooldbar for your browser. You tell it all of the things you are interested in and when you hit "stumble" it takes you to a random website that fits one of the categories you choose. Then you can give a thumbs up or down on the site, hit stumble again and on to soomething else. You can also have friends on stumble and see what sites they like and send them links of sites you like. It is so amazing what you "stumbleupon!" I have found lots of amazing stuff that I never would have found otherwise! Several of us on here are stumble junkies!

I sometimes just randomly stumble a page here and there,,, or sometimes i just stumble and get totally distracted into some totally random topic that was fascinating to me for some reason... i haveta agree with Miss Yogini there Stumble is the coolest

You are the best. That is the one thing I couldn't get. Download was fine, but no toolbar or way toget there.

Well, ladies, I know Vista is supposed to be the next big thing, but I'm here to tell you differently. I actually got I Tunes running and able to put on an I Pod. Unfortunately, or fortunately, the person who first owned this had oodles and oodles of music on it. Since I didn't have his name, I had to completely format the whole thing, it was 3/4 full of music and this is a 10GB. Ok..so now it is clean and I was able to put one set of CD's on it. Good, right. Ok, so I put more on there and somewhere IPod did a update and poof I can't do anything now. It is supposed to be so easy...and it was the first time, but this really sucks. So as I was trying to get everything on last night (which I left on all night) cleared everything on the I Pod. It may have been me...I don't know.

Any I guess I'm just complaining. At least before I could jam to the music while cleaning and stuff, and now I can't put anything on it. If anyone know how to fix this let me know. Except for this of course,



Seriously, I am really trying to be patient with Vista, but geez already, ya know. I do have another computer with XP, maybe I'll have to use the older computer. May be slower, but it will work.

Awww, I dunno about Vista at all... Only the horror stories from you and my dad hehehehhe.... Thanks for letting me know... I will wait till the service pack comes out to explore that territory,,, Id be really disappointed if I couldnt do something I wanted to that I could do on XP,,, I dont blame ya!

I have had some compatibility problems with some software, but nothing this bad.........Saffy have you checked with Ipod to see if you need something to make your Ipod work better with Vista?

thanks...I finally sat down with a new attitude and was able to download and transfer. What a relief since I had already deleted everything on the IPod.

I still can't stumble, but I hear they are coming out with a patch for the Vista witches.

nope...I think a lot depends on what type of anti virus you have. I don't know..I gave up on stumble for a little while and rely on you guys for the stumbling
