Hi everyone, Does anyone here do automatic writing, or know how to do it safely? A reading I had from a teacher of mine told me that I have an angel that would assist me with it, but I'm horrified of writing something from someone negative. I actually knew a few girls who used to do it for fun, and I am 100% sure they contacted someone negative. For instance, they were in high school still, and one of them wrote "look out the window at 3 o'clock" or something similar. At that time, they all looked out the window and viewed a little girl waving at them. Of course you'd think "oh it's some neighborhood kid." Nope. They actually lived in a town of about 150 people in the middle of nowhere so there was no one someone didn't know. The writing they did always produced negative comments and answers, but of course they were in school and carefree and never thought of protecting themselves as this was only for fun. Interesting point: no one else could see the girl but them! The little girl actually walked among their classmates during a class and no one saw her but them. Of course after that they stopped because they were so horrified and the spirit stopped contacting them. Eeeeeeeekkkk!! So after that lovely note, anyone have any POSITIVE experiences with it??? LOL!

well, ya know, that's what happens when people 'play' with these kinds of things. when i was a teen, we played with a oiji board (sp?) and we were scared after it. these things are not for play, but if you are protected and aren't just 'testing' the spirits, then i'd say go for it. i haven't tried it yet, and i've heard it can be difficult or takes alot of practice. maybe not for you, though, if you've been guided. positive and negative all depends on the person and what their intent is.

I once googled the words automatic writing after having been to a "psychic" and it was an experience i'll never forget. Something rushed INSIDE of me and the voice that came out of my mouth was not my own. Needless to say, I did all sorts of clearing rituals and such but it was super scary. I've been scared of automatic writing ever since. But the thing is, I know I could do it and that there must be a safe way to go about it. It can't all be bad, right? If you find out about how to do this, let me know.

i will do. see, i feel that it's like all things metaphysical. it all takes protection. even something as simple as empathy, which is natural for most, needs protection. anything can be positive or negative, but it's all in how YOU go about it and YOUR intent. it may very well be something that is special for you to do, not necessarily a bunch of playful teens, ya know? i think we are all blessed in special ways and that we were meant to learn and practice those special blessings. that's why they are given to us. it's other people, who aren't meant to do that thing, that get negative results. i understand how something so unusual and new to you can scare you. that's a natural reaction. but, it sounds as though it's something that is a gift for you to acheive. just always ask for the Divine to protect you and to only allow positive energies of love and light. if you have faith in your Protector, then you'll be fine. i'll surely look it up and ask a few people i know about it and let you know what i find.

I dont know why, but I have never been afraid of automatic writing, ouija boards, or anything from the spirit realm like that. I naturally started to do automatic writing and I didnt even know it. I have done it for a long time and 4 or so years ago someone mentioned automatic writing to me and I was like,,, hmm what is that... Then I realized that was what I was doing! It was like wow,,, they have a name for that! I must confess though after I realized what I was doing I started to ask for more stuff, and I go in stages of writing, writing, writing and then for a while nothing, then i pick it back up, so its been an evolution for me to do this. This question did bring up a question to myself though... I really wonder why I have never been afraid of any of these things, I used a ouija board as a kid, and I sometimes still do, my daughter and I use it, we have another board called zyria that is similar to a ouija only it has a few hundred words all over it and the planchette writes out huge sentances for you,,, I also have an angel board that we have used... i guess that is something I like, boards, and automatic writing... I do agree with you though Aura, everyone has a "specialty" and maybe the spirit realm is mine,,, but I can honestly say I have never been afraid of the spirit realm,,, rather very comforted by it,,, so I dunno.... Interesting thing to think about because I truly believe we create our own world and maybe I just dont want there to be "bad spirits" around,,,, and there isnt.... Ok, done rambling,,, going to do my mala

well, i think it's the difference in people. for instance; my sister and i had the very same upbringing with the same knowledges and experiences. we both were very aware of the spirit realm and psychic abilities and the like, but i always embraced it and she runs from it like the plague. i never understood it and always just figured it was her nature. or that she has a natural lack of protection, even if she's not aware of it. there could be many reasons why you and i embrace these things and others are afraid. maybe it's a product of how one is raised or the things that society teaches? it may be a fear of the unknown? i'm not sure. it's never frightened me either, only because i know i'm Divinely protected and have that faith that i am. my sister doesn't have that faith or that security. i've tried to talk with her about it and encourage her, but she is just too afraid. also, if one is too afraid, then the fear will hold them back.

I have done automatic writing. I'm not very good at it yet though. I do ask the angels for protection before I start and only allow being of divine love and wisdom and for my highest good be allowed to assist me with it. That's how I've spoken to Josef a few times as you've suggested Karen. I find it time consuming because it feels like I'm just doodling before anything comes up. Practice makes perfect right?

yea my siblings are not into the spirit realm like i am,,,, i think,,, no scratch that,,, i know they think im a little kooky,,, but not in a bad way,,, just like im different... but thats ok,,, i am different,, cant help it, im an aquarius with neptune in Sag in the 8th house,,, so i am bound to be "different" and interested in different metaphysical or occult things because of that... which leads me to wondering about your neptune now Fairy,,, hmmm gonna have to go snoop now muahahaha .... well i just looked and Aura you have Neptune in Sag in the 6th house and Arien, your Neptune is in Sag in the third house,,, I dont have Shawna or Karens birth info but I will look them up if you PM it to me... Probably most of us who are around the same age have Neptune in Sag as it is an outter planet and takes it sweet time changing zodiac signs... But some of the younger or older members might have Neptune in another sign.
Neptune is the planet of dreams, other realms, fantasy, artistic, imagination....
Sagittarius is expansive, not petty, loves to travel and explore new thoughts or ideas and is optimistic.
The houses are similar to the zodiac, with house 1 being like Aries... house two being like Taurus, and down the line like that,,, soooo
house 3 would be like gemini,,, curious, open minded, many interests, intelligent (for Sloan's neptune in 3rd house)
House 6 would be like the Zodiac sign of Virgo (for Auras neptune in 6th house) they are analyical, organized, precise, see it and feel it to believe it types...
House 8 would be like the zodiac scorpio (for my neptune in the 8th house) which is instinctive, intuitive, charismatic, still waters that run deep...
When you take the planet,, Neptune in this case, and then color it with the aspect of the house and zodiac sign it is in, you get your interpretation of how that planet will play out in the persons life...
Not sure if this makes sense to all of you,,, but thats maybe why certain people are interested in certain subjects and ideas and others are repelled by them...
Thats it for Stars, star report for today hehehe

Sloan, I'm so glad you started writing and connecting with Josef. I can imagine how happy he is now! LOL
After my googling experience, I contacted a psychic I know and trust and have received guidance from for years and years. I told her of my experience and she told that when I'd gone to the other psychic, the other psychic attached a negative energy with me, in the hopes that I'd call her back and ask her to remove it. Therefor, I'd have to go back and pay more money and such. I'd only gone to this psychic because I was driving by with a friend who insisted on going in. It was like $15 bucks so it was just sort of for fun - we were young. That ended up being my lesson about who to trust when it came to psychics.

AHHHH, yeah, that happens and people like that suck. that's the exact kind of experience that will push people away from the whole concept! well, i'm sorry to hear that happened to you. i hope it's better now or that you can find another way of ridding yourself of it. karma will come back around on that person who did that to you.
oh, and star, yeah, that makes alot of sense!! you've shed some light on the charts and i'm glad! lol. very cool beans and very true in my case!! lol.

i'd like to learn more about automatic writing. i have not done much with it. Usually with any kind of work, I ask God, the angels, and especially Archangel Michael to protect me and let only spirits of the highest vibration in.

Ya I'm trying to do more of it Karen but as I said it's slow going cause I get frustrated when I don't get anything...I know, I know I gotta be patient and it'll come. I do plan to keep trying with automatic writing though, it's kinda neat once you finally connect. And Star I think I'm going to need to chit chat with you to get a better run down and understanding of what you just wrote cause I'm pretty sure it just flew over my head; either that it's because I'm working nights and nothing seems to make sense then....ya lets stick to that reason! lol

Hi there, Automatic writing is great. I use it to connect to the spirit world but also to my subconcious. I do self hypnosis and then you just let your hand write, with your eyes closed or open. If you can go on a self hypnosis course and then do automatic writing it is a great start. Some how talking to your own mind is alot less scary than talking to a "spook" hahah. Then when you connect to the spirit world you already have the art of automatic writing conquered and you can channel what is coming through alot better.

I've never tried it, but I am very interested in it. A woman that has been in a couple of classes that I have taken does automatic writing and she said that it really helped her with some decision making.
