If any of you have studied the Mayan Calendar, many things can be read in to it.
The one thing that sticks out for me is that even tho the calendar stops, I don't believe that means, we end. Within certain phases, there is a type of cleansing of the earth. We need to be prepared.
Like Mike has written about "The Awakening" We need to Be a part of the Change.
Well, big entry for this. I have talked about movies reflecting life. this may not be exactly, but it got me thinking. I saw a movie call I am Legend with Will Smith. The basis was that he was the only person alive. All the other humans were turned into mutant humans. This movies was based on a previous movie The Omega Man.
Well he lived as such, he had a dog ......
Ok, everyone was killed by a cure for cancer that went wrong. But as the movie continued, I kept thinking about the cleansing of the earth. Again, I don't know how it would happen, but it did open my eyes a little more.
I just wanted to share.

Ive read Stephen King books like that,,,, its a wild thought,,, Cell was one of them, and The Stand was another... It's wacky to think stuff like that... If that sort of stuff happens,,, I think I might just wana be one of the first to go,,, but then I think it might be cool to rebuild,,, ever how challenging it is...
What is suppose to happen after the Mayan calender,,, I have no idea, but its interesting.

That's some very interesting thoughts you have there Saffy. I have some ideas on this myself, and definately think this is possible.
I've seen 'I Am Legend', and it affected me deeply. One, it's quite possible that this could happen, Two, Will Smith's performance was oscar worthy, and Three, I feel in love with Sam in the film. Dogs mean alot to me, and (this is a bit off-topic) I saw a movie recently called 'Eight Below', and have never been this affected by a film about dogs. I'll fully admit to balling my eyes out more than once, and I've heard that some people claim that dogs don't act like that in real life. In a one word response to that: Rubbish! I think my dog is more human than some people I know.
Anyway, back on topic, some very thought provoking things that you've brought up, Sis! Maybe by opening our minds to reiki and such, we are becoming the 'chosen' that the world needs to help go on? Maybe we're being prepared to become 'survivors'?

I totally agree with the conflict of being the first to go or part of the rebuilding. I have thought about many things and I want to rebuild. As hard and difficult it may be, I am strong enough to do this.
There are many theories as to what happens after the calendar. If you study what has happened since the BIG BOOM there are certain cycles and it can be proven by history. Now I do know anything can be explained if they want it to...but my believe does come very close to what was explained. There is a movie on You Tube that does a lot. Not all the recent items are true, but I see a lot of things happening.
I don't mean to get so deep, but the movie did educate me. From my opinion, as harsh as it may seem, is the end of the Mayan calendar that there will be a cleansing of the earth. There are many ways you can look at this. The way I see it is those people who are AWARE and have been a part of the awakening are going to be a big part of the change.
ok...Mike has a great blog about these things, but a lot of things for me are a little above of the me and what I've learned. No offense Mike... I'm sure everyone can take something different away from this. But with all the changes we have all felt and know things are changing, maybe it is time to learn a little.
I don't mean to be a preacher, but I was affected tremendously.

lol, saffy, stop appologizing for being deep and sharing thought provoking ideas. they are wonderful. i too think i'll be amoung the survivors, of whatever may happen. i have no idea what would/could happen, but i agree that those of us who are becoming more aware of things will continue on and be the change. whatever humanity's fate, humanity will perservere.....................does that make sense? lol.

part of me is like,,, you know everyone thought the world was going to stop in the year 2000 but it didnt,,,, and yet,,, i see us changing,,, so i dunno about everything collapsing at one time,,, but i think we are evolving and faster then we have in the past.... but who knows my perception is warped to fit my own lifetime and experiences... for some reason this sort of topic keeps coming up though, so it seems like,,, maybe,,, but maybe people just need something to get hyped up about too? it seems difficult to imagine that december 11, 2011 (i think that is the date im prolly wrong) is just going to be the end.... you know? but what do i know lol and ya Saf, dont apologize,,, if we cant get deep here, then where shall we get deep at??

The thing about dates and years is that they are never right! Each calander is different to the next. Our's says it is the year 2008, when in reality it's much further than that. Over time, days of the month have been both lengthened and shortened more than once. We've no doubt passed December 11, 2011 long ago, but because of different cultural beliefs (and more), each calender is vastly different. So who knows who is right? We'll never know. A bit more about the end of the world, in they year 2006 there were people predicting armageddon and the end of the world for the date of June 6. This date was also meant to represent the return of the anti-christ, for the date that year would read: 06-06-06. I had people coming up and commenting on the date, and I told them that it was nothing new. Every century there is a 06-06-06! (plus, the anti-christ being a deciever, why would he choose that date to return, it's far too obvious). I think when the earth is ready to cleanse itself, there won't be a set date. One thing, how depressing would it be knowing that date, and another, this isn't the first time that this has happened. Dinosaurs were the dominant species on the planet, and ruled far longer then we have (so far) but nature selected them for extinction. Then we have the ice age etc., the earth is more than capable of healing herself. The damage caused by dinosaurs alone would have been devastating to the environment. It's ironic that whatever species inherits the earth, they end up destroying it. And we're next. But personally, I think we have a long way to go. I have to believe that. I'm not ready to leave just yet. And I'm not ready to leave you fine people, my fellow survivors P.S: I apoligise if this is confusing or contradictory, but it's late and I just finished work. Time for bed.

And it makes sense to me too. Calendars were changed by the Catholics to have some control. Look it up..why do you think we have Leap year. I always wondered why every 4 years we needed to add a day to the calendar. History is a confusing thing. It can be read into so many ways and that's good. It keeps people asking questions. I don't know what's going to happen and I don't know if the end of the calendar means something like the Big Boom, but like Star said..people are becoming more aware and that's not bad.
