Has anyone ever had the experience of giving someone a headache while giving reiki?

That sounds right to me. I remember getting tingling with a few attunements but only when several different modalities was being used at the same time. But that was also my first hands on session. I felt really out or sorts, but no headache

I haven't had that experience but I've heard of people who have. Also heard the same as the Fairy... Crown chakra opening. Interested to see what others might have to add since I haven't had any experience with it either.

When I've had an attunement I always get what I call the "attunement headache" but not during treatments

I have had one or two people mention a headache. Remember that Reiki can do no harm and that neither you or the Reiki energy caused the headache. Reiki brings in a huge amount of energy which can cause energy blocks, emotional issues, and other things to come to the surface and be released. This is usually very subtle but once in a while, I'll have a client that says they feel "weird" after Reiki--like mild headache, tired etc. This usually passes very quickly. Encourage the client to drink some extra water the day or two after the treatment. You can also send them some distance Reiki to ease the integration of the new energy.
I used to get headaches when I first started teaching Reiki. It was from a combination of getting up early to teach, being "on" all day, and the huge amount of energy we pull through when passing an attunement. To make it easier on myself, I started brekaing the classes up into several shorter meetings and eating right after. Also after teaching a few classes I think my body adjusted to the huget amount of energy from the attunements and I no longer have the headaches.
Blessings, Christine

I agree with what Christine said, I dont think it is the Reiki that is giving you a headache but the amount of energy traveling through you could be foreign. Remember when we give Reiki we also receive and if there is something in your third eye or crown chakra that needs healing or opening up, then maybe thats what is going on... What also came to me is that maybe you are empathic somehow... I know that when I do Reiki on others I sometimes feel what the other person is feeling while I am doing it. I make sure to cut myself off afterwards because I dont want to take on anyones ailments. Not that by giving Reiki I am taking on whatever the other person is going through but seeing as I have empathic tendencies I need that cut off. Do the Kenyoku, or dry bathing technique, that should help ((hugs))
