Passing Attunements

is it true you have to practice for 6 months everyday perfectly and not miss a day before you go for your attunment test to get your masters

Although it might not be a bad practice to get experience using reiki daily and you would certainly be good and ready after 6 months of practice I don't feel it's critical to do this (to this extreme) before your Master Attunement. And...I'm not sure what all others will have to add to this but I believe when Dr. Usui created Reiki it was recommended to wait 6 months before you master attunement but it is not critical.

Always following your inner guidance is important. You'll know when you are ready for your Master Attunement. Some people wait years. Some wait weeks... others months. Also noting that all teachers are different. Some stick to the "book" more closely than others.

I agree, waiting 6 months is not necessary in my opinion, ive heard of some people getting their Usui I, II and master all at once. I wouldn't recommend that because it is good to allow the energy to integrate into yourself and practice and all that. On the same note I will say that it is good to give yourself some time, but that isnt always 6 months with practice every day etc. I feel like Anamere said, you will know when it is time. People often as me this question and my answer is always the same,,, you will know when you are ready, whether that be a few weeks or a few years,,, you will know, so listen to your inner guidance, that will help you more then what any other outside influence can tell you.

I would also like to add that I believe to share Reiki and teach others, that you should be knowledgeable and understand it enough that you feel you can confidently pass on attunements to others and be able to explain them to your students. I have had many a student come to me saying that their previous master didn't teach them much, which to me is not really fair because there is a lot to learn and allow to integrate into yourself during the process of attunements.... So do your homework, practice, read and ask questions here and to other reiki practitioners and listen to your inner guidance about when you should start to share Reiki with others once you become a Reiki Master...
