Who here has done Reiki on preganant women? What was it like? Aside from the obvious physical differences, was there anything different about the energy flow or any other surprises?

I attuned my sister while she was pregnant. It was amazing! During the attunement the baby drummed on her belly button from the inside. I heard that attuning during pregnancy would be good for the baby, and help him be easily calmed by Reiki after birth. It was an amazing experience for all three of us, and my nephew is the calmest, happiest baby, and he loves Reiki!

I did reiki on myself the whole time I was preggers with my son,,, hes 11 now,,, i didnt know Reiki when I had my daughter, I got attuned in between so she didnt get any in my tummy,,, but she got lots after i learned it hehehe...
I loved doing Reiki when I was pregnant, sometimes it felt like it was going to my tummy and just surrounding the baby in a gold bubble. I dont know why, but I saw gold a LOT when I did reiki on myself then. I was also REALLY sick when I had my son, I had the worst morning sickness, which was weird cause I was only sick one time with my daughter. So I used Reiki to help calm myself, but not usually until after I got sick, it was like I had to get whatever out and then I could do Reiki on myself to calm my nerves from that. I also had really high blood pressure towards the end of my pregnancy, they put me in the hospital a few times from it, not giving me anything, just watching me and making me stay in bed, on the right or left side, I cant remember now... Anyhow I had a heart monitor that I could hear beeping as my heart beat, I played with Reiki while I was there and I could relax myself and allow my blood pressure and heart beat to slow down when I did it on myself. It was really cool to me... The Dr's never had to give me anything while I was there, they just watched me for a few days and I got better and they let me go home. I think I was in the hospital twice like that, my Dr was overly worried about my, gratefully so becasue I am one of those people that gets toxicimia/preclampsia so they worry about me when I get pregnant... It happened with both kids and they induced my daughter a month early because of it. My son was full term, actually like a week late, I've often wondered if reiki had anything to do with that.
Other then that, I havent really given anyone else that was pregnant Reiki,,, BUT I have a feeling someone on the forum is going to get pregnant soon, and I have been sending her Reiki for that hehehehehe

I have given Reiki to a few pregnant women and I would like to do more...I LOVE IT! It is so exciting to feel the Reiki being absorbed by the mom and the baby and the baby responding to it as well  |

Well, I am glad to hear all your stories....There's a new girl at work who is pregs, but she's having a rough time with her kidneys and potassium levels and such. I think she might be open to a treatment, and now I have the confidence to offer it to her. Thanks everyone.

One of the PT's at the gym is pregnant, she was exercising the other day and I thought, I wana give her baby Reiki... next time we talk, im going to ask her too.... thanks for bringing this up joanie, i have been thinking about this since and i sort of feel like this was a "message" for me to just talk to her about it. I know her well enough, she was one of the therapists that helped me.

No actually not yet, I havent seen her, I went to the gym early all last week and missed her,,, this week Im going to make a point top go later so I can catch her,,, thanks for the reminder!

I'm going to talk to her tomorrow...She's kind of hard to "read," and I'm not sure whether she's open to it, but I will let her know it's there if she wants it. She does, however, let me touch her tummy when the baby is kicking. That is sooooooo awesome!
