There is some distrubing comments about becoming off balance, etc from awakening Kundalini. I'm not knowledge about it so any info would be great. light and love Nadine

I am a Kundalini Master, and had some interesting sensations of heat in my lower spine after my master attunement, but that was about it. I think it is important to take your attunements slowly, and use your Reiki to heal yourself if you feel out of balance. I have seen the info you mentioned, but I think those are extreme cases of Kundalini being awakened in someone who is not ready. I love Kundalini Reiki, and have found it very beneficial in my life and in the healing of others. Just trust yourself and go at you own pace, and you should be fine. ((hugs)) Kristi

I have another question about the Kundalini reiki. My friend is very interested in having a Kundalini session with me. He asked me if it would ignite Kundalini in him during the session. I'm not sure. I know for me I can feel it but is that because I had the attunement? Is receiving Kundalini reiki similar to receiving another form of healing energy and will not ignite Kundalini in clients? Hugs Nadine

My experience has been that the attunement lit the fire, not the treatment. Receiving Kundalini Reiki is very similar to receiving other forms of Reiki. If your friend is concerned you may start the session wth a request that the energy be for his highest and best good. Kristi

I agree with Kristi. It's the attunement, not the treatment that ignites the fire.
It's a very useful tol that I often use in treatments.

Wow, I dont know how I missed this thread before.... I agree with what they said, the attunement is what does it. What I feel with Kundalini is that it seems to flow faster through me then Usui Reiki... Like if I am doing a session on someone I will think "kundalini" and it will seem to travel faster through me, but no I dont think that awakens ones kundalini. I think with the attunements it is often times a gradual process as well. Hope this helps!

I don't mean to be a pain here but I've given a session of normal straightforward healing (with no name) to a lady and her partner and I think it may have awoken her kundalini. After the night time session she was ok but in bed she vibrated from head to foot for a while. It prompted her to write me a letter, even though we see each other every week. Her life course changed dramatically after that...she's in a different house, with a different partner, different friends and a different job. People will react to any version of healing depending on where they are in their growth. Fascinating stuff!

Oh for sure I agree with that Blue,,, we have our own abilities to heal, either with our own energy, or the universal energy... i am doing chi gong so i am starting to notice the difference in it being energy inside of me, which is part of me, well its all part of me because everything is one,,, but the energy i pull from the universe feels different then the stuff inside already... if that makes sense to anyone else but me?!,,,, not sure.... but i agree, you can heal without an attunement, reiki just trains you and gives your tools on how to focus the universal outside energy to travel through you... thats why i think its so great

So interesting and impressive how healing has changed our lives or the lives of those we know in some way.

You know what saddens me though? That people ...jo public...have got hung up on Reiki. I don't mean to disrespect Reiki because it has it's place but the public seem to want structure and certificates and control. Just call on the light of the universe, care for the person who needs healing and they will get it...u don't need symbols or certificates or attunements or anybody's permission or tools. Well it's true and people should really be learning that...don't you think? Or is that just me on my soap box? Hee hee hee!

Blue, I agree with you. It seems so silly to me that some forms of Reiki are actually copyrighted, like someone can own Reiki. So bizzarre to me. I use several forms of Reiki and Quantum Touch all rolled into one, and don't feel a need to follow one dicsipline, but rather do whatever feels right to me. Kristi

Hello there.
I need some advice from other Kundalini Reiki Masters about giving attunements. I have found the manuals I have to be rather undetailed in many respects, and would like some input from others who practice Kundalini Reiki. I myself am in the booster attunements - two more to go - and have already been attuning others. I have 5 people currently that I'm in the process of attuning, and feel a little booked, calendar wise, keeping track of everyone's levels and when they need the next one.
Do you send all attunements at once, intending them to be received when desired?
Do you hold your hands out or together when sending attunements, and do you stay put for the 5 or so minutes that the attunement lasts? Or do you just intend the attunement and that's the end of it?
Do you send attunements to more than one person at a time?
If someone tells you she didn't feel the attunement, and she was uptight or anxious during the time of the attunement, do you resend with intent that it be there for her when she is ready?
Do you ever receive intuitive information while doing a healing with Kundalini Reiki? I do with other modalities, but they involve scanning and part or issue-specific sending, and also take much longer. With KR, I have only felt the energy flow and stop when its done.
How do you know when to use "Diamond Reiki" instead of Kundalini Reiki?
Thanks for indulging me with any of your experienced information. I want to know what to tell my own attunees when they inevitably ask me, and also be sure that I'm doing their attunements the best way possible.
Blessings, Alice

Alice, I do Kundalini Attunements in person and by distance. For distance I send one attunement at a time. I ask my guides to attune the other person by name, and send them one person at a time. I usually meditate for about 5 minutes for each one. Can the person who didn't feel the attunement channel Reiki? If not, send the attunement again. She probably just didn't feel it because of her emotional state. My expereince is that when you ask it to happen, it always does. I get intuitive information when sending Kundalini all the time. I ask to see the person's energy when sending, and often have impressions and see things. I use other Reiki skills like scanning with Kundalini and have no problems with that. I usually use whatever I feel prompted to use, so ask if the person needs Diamond, DNA, etc. at the beginning of the session and then do what you are prompted to do. Kristi

Hi Kristi,
Thank you for your response to my questions. I need to hear from others who use Kundalini Reiki, and so you've been a great help. I feel a little like I'm in a vacuum because I don't know others who use this modality, and the manuals are a little vague about things.
It's a great idea to just ask to receive information - I forget that I can do that! And scanning at the beginning sounds logical too. Thanks for the reminders and tips.
I'd appreciate hearing from more people, if others have ideas to contribute. Thank you Kristi, you've made me feel less alone!
Peace, Alice

I have never attuned anyone to this modality, however it is a very powerful attunement and perhaps like Kristi said, she wasn't quite ready for this.
I have done Diamond and DNA on myself, but have never tried to send. I am very interested in this thread and curious about the information received.

Hi Alice, Sorry I'm slow replying,,, I have had a busy week, and I am out of town for two weeks... So I am slow on the boards,, but trying to catch up a little since I finally could get some R&R I guess the vagueness of the manual is like this,,, kundalini reiki doesn't really need symbols and is a faster paced energy then Usui reiki and since it is geared for people that are already acclimated to reiki energy, there isn't a lot to say about it. I have noticed a lot of the higher levels of Reiki are like that actually. I revised the Kundalini manual that I got from my teacher and included more information because I thought it was not a ton of information, but when I thought about it, the manual seemed simple but complete. Whereas it explained that kundalini reiki opens the kundalini channels and allows you to channel it's energy... I personally love kundalini energy, it is one that I call upon often because of its fast paced flow. Anyhow I copied your questions so I could answer them all ((hugs)) Star Do you send all attunements at once, intending them to be received when desired? I send the attunement in real time, when the client and I make the appointment or a chi ball. I don't send them all at once. I have only a few times had someone request to get them all at once and since they were working with energy for a while I did that but I asked the student to pick them up like requested in the manual. Do you hold your hands out or together when sending attunements, and do you stay put for the 5 or so minutes that the attunement lasts? Or do you just intend the attunement and that's the end of it? I usually use a proxy for my distant attunements. My in person attunements I place my hands on the client or just above them so they are open. I have done a few attunements recently though as if the person was in front of me, like I was sending to an invisible person. I kind of like that way too, I think its all in what you feel comfortable with. I also stay put while I feel the energy flowing, I enjoy doing the attunements, and I am a sort of ritual-type person, so I usually smudge the person and then say my little intention, ask my guides and my students guides to help, then move on to the attunement process. A lot of times I do the attunement and send a little Kundalini Reiki energy afterwards so I make my attunements to Kundalini Reiki 20 minutes or so in length. I suppose you could just state the intention but I like doing them the way I do them,, it just feels right. I think what is most important is that you feel right in what you do. Do you send attunements to more than one person at a time? Yes & no , if it is a group attunement, scheduled together I will send them at more then one person at a time. If it is not a group attunement I do not, I send them separately. If someone tells you she didn't feel the attunement, and she was uptight or anxious during the time of the attunement, do you resend with intent that it be there for her when she is ready? If the person asks, I will. Although I don't think it is entirely necessary to do so. You can send it again though, it wont hurt. It is important to keep in mind that not everyone feels anything. Just because someone didn't feel something, does not mean that the attunement didn't work. Whatever the person is suppose to feel, whatever their experience brings them, it's perfectly right for that person, and sometimes that means they don't feel anything. Do you ever receive intuitive information while doing a healing with Kundalini Reiki? I do with other modalities, but they involve scanning and part or issue-specific sending, and also take much longer. With KR, I have only felt the energy flow and stop when its done. I usually get impressions when I do any sort of attunement. I also keep them to myself if the client doesn't want to know the impressions. I have heard people not get anything, ever, and people only picking up things sometimes, so I guess it just depends. How do you know when to use "Diamond Reiki" instead of Kundalini Reiki? You just say "Diamond Reiki" like you do Kundalini and it will turn on. To me diamond Reiki feels really bright and strong. I would use it on something that seemed stagnant and hard to move, like a blockage or problem

I was sitting in a chair and treating myself with Kundalini Reiki. I felt someone or something gently push my head to the side. I let it do it and followed. Then to the other side. To and fro. And around. I felt gentle pushes and also pulls from my hear. Head going around, circles. Little by little it got rougher. My head was pushed in furthest angles, leaning and slowly moving around my stiff neck-muscles. I got sweaty. In some positions I yelled inside out of pain. I could have stopped anytime, but I knew it was for my good and I trusted. I asked couple of times (just in my mind) "Are we done now?" and got answers: "Not yet". It lasted about 20 minutes, until I was exhausted and got an answer "ready now". Neck feels good now, a little pain after exercise as usual, muscles relaxed. It was my personal trainer, I reckon. An invisible one.
