What stone(s) do any of you use for the root chakra? Like I know what to use, but I would like to hear what you all use and why... I was doing a Reiki session today and using my actual crystals and I wanted to find a second stone to use with the root chakra. I did use a piece of snowflake obsidian, which I love but as I was doing it I kept thinking I have to ask this question,,, so someone here has an answer I need to hear (((hugs))) ... now off to bed i go,,, really!

I use Carnelian Agate for all of the lower Chakras, very grounding and powerful. Kristi

I agree with Kristi, I use carnelian for my root chakra. Lately I have been finding it very helpful with pain, I've been trying to come up with a wicked wrapped piece of it to wear. I've used others like red jasper too, and a few others, usually whatever I'm guided too but I like carnelian best.

I have also used Rainbow Obsidian, very cool because it connects nicely with all the chakras. Kristi

Interesting about the Carnelian, I actually use that for the sacral... I remember what you said Arien about it being helpful for pain and its really my sacral area of my back that hurts so I thought carnelian would be good for that.... Lynn said in a different post something about garnet, I LOVE garnet,,, (plus its my birthstone) I made myself an anklet with some garnet in it that I almost always wear... I was thinking of getting a piece of it actually to use with the other crystals, the only garnet I have at the moment are beads... I saw some rainbow obsidian in the rock shop the other day, I actually picked it up and thought about you guys talking about it before, but I didnt get it, it is REALLY pretty... Maybe I am going to have to find some now! I did not realize that it connects with all the chakras, that is really cool to know. I am using snowflake obsidian for the root at the current time, which I love but I sort of feel like I want to use it for the earth chakra and find something more for the root chakra which is why I asked this question Thanks for the replies, I appreciate them! ((hugs))

Mmmmm, I'd love to get some rainbow obsidian. And ya, I really do find the carnelian good for pain, and if it works for your sacral charka I'm glad.
