Necklace for a friend

This is the necklace I made today for a friend of mine, it's her birthday today. Whaddya think?

I really like it, what kind of wire did you use? I always wondered about making necklaces with wire showing like that,,, I didnt know if people used the same beading wire or what.... It looks like you used crimp beads to hold the beads in place? Very cool idea... I actually like simplistic jewelery for myself and this is super nice!

The kind of wire is tiger wire - I think I used the silver color!?...You can get it in lots of colors. And yes I did use crimps to hold the beads in place; I had seen it on a necklace in an expensive shop somewhere and I thought to myself "hunh, that's waaay to easy!"
And just so you know my Star...you already are my friend, actually you're more like family.

I love the idea of the wire like that,,, I know I ask a lot of questions,,, but its cause I wana figure stuff out... Do you remember how thick the wire is and how many strands it has? I dont have tiger wire but I have beadalon, soft flex and acculon in several gages and numbers of wires. So I am just curious...
I have only bought silver, I thought of buying other colors cause they are wrapped in nylon (I am sure the tiger wire is too) but I always thought, you know thats sort of silly to have colored wire when you just put beads on it... Doh,,, makes sense now! Ohhh something else to add to my addic... affinity hehehe

hehe its ok,,, im just curious.... i buy most my stuff from online anyhow i find that its easier to sit at home and go crazy then in the bead store here,,, if i could find a regular bead store i might like it but all i have found so far around here is JoAnn Fabrics...
