Fairy QuartzCrystal system - Hexagonal Hardness - 7 Source - South Africa Chakra - Past Life, solar plexus, soma Planet - Sun & Moon Beneficial for - Detoxifying tissues, pain, nightmares A less ethereal stone than Spirit Quartz, the crystals being less prominent and its vibrations more earthy. Fairy Quartz helps to link to the Faery Kingdom and the Nature Devas. It has all the same properties of regular quartz but it will also help you unravel your family myths, ancestral and or cultural stories in which you are locked. It will help soothe the environment, helps remove emotional pain, and calms children of nightmares.

ok, so like I know this Fairy,,, right? And I have been collecting little fairy things in my home, in fact the Fairy I know keeps leaving me little gifts for my fairy "corner" of my house... The last thing was a bunch of tiny tinkling bells, I hung them in the doorway between my living room and my office/dinning room so whenever I have to walk there I brush past them,, they are just so cool... Anywho I think the fairies want me to get some of this.... Does this stone have another name besides Fairy Quartz??? I think I shall have to find some of it for me and maybe give some to the Fairy I know too! hehehehe

you should be able to find it listed on ebay under this name without any trouble. This was the actual name listed i my new book The encyclopedia of crystals.

Here's what I found
Fairy Quartz Fairy Quartz is a fledgling Spirit Quartz, showing the milky white lazer wand point and a light coating of smaller crystals growing on it. Fairy Quartz has a very soothing energy, which brings peace and calm to those in its energy field, including the groups, families, and individuals. This soothing energy is extremely beneficial for emotional pain or illness. It also brings heightened energy even as it calms. Fairy Quartz is great for meditation. Physically, Fairy Quartz is used for detoxifying the body and tissues, removing pain, and overall healing.
Identification: Spirit quartz comes to us from Africa and can be found in various forms. Its various names range from spirit quartz, cactus quartz, pineapple quartz, shadow cactus, and faerie quartz. Its colors are as varied as its properties. It manifests as clear, salmon colored, citrine, amethyst, citrine amethyst combination along with combinations of the other colors. The amethyst has citrine growing within and around the points, giving the their orange/gold speckling.
It is used to activate and to cleanse other minerals, to enhance and to increase the energy of other minerals, and to activate the properties of same. It has also been used to enhance the energy transfer of other minerals to stimulate healing on all levels.
The only difference I know is the Fairy Quartz seems to be in wand form with points and the spirit quartz seems to be more clusters.
I have had people tell me they are the same and they are not, but I relied on the internet descriptions, so I guess it is a point of view
Like most Quartz, each kinds may have different properties so if the properties are different, maybe it would be what, if anything they may be mixed with. So, I don't know what really is correct.

yeah, maybe that is one of the differences. The ones I have do have amethyst and citrine. If I said this before, please forgive me. Getting old really sucks, even if you don't feel old.
