~love spell~

okies, dunno why i'm just adding this. i think i meant to a long time ago and, as usual, i got sidetracked. lol. (darn ADD). anyhoo, i made this about a year and a half ago and strongly believe it works. have fun! lolol.....

~love spell~

cinnamon
star annise or apple hearts
sea salt
white sage
red pepper flakes
rose quartz

first: place your mortar in the center of three large quartz points, set in triangle formation. light candle to work by and also, later, to charge the mix. burn insence throughout the entire work. i would most reccomend jasmine or rose, as they are 'loving' scents and tend to draw the right energies for this particular spell.

second: take a couple pinches of each spice and sprinkle into your mortar. the annise will just be a couple pieces broken off the main piece. if you don't have annise, a regular apple heart will work as well. (i always cut out the hearts of apples after we're done with them. cut it cross ways and the heart, you'll see, is a natural 5point star. to get them whole, cut on either side of the hearts and set them in a warm, dry place to dry without mildewing.) the sage: you can break one leaf into small pieces. FYI: don't over do the red pepper; too much is too much.

red pepper flakes - fire of love
sage and sea salt - purity of love

third: after adding them all, take your pestel and grind for about five minutes. the annise or apple heart won't actually break up, but just a little. however, it's still blending, all the same. the sea salt should break up into a powder, after a while, as should most of the sage. after you've finished, smell it. i know, it sounds odd, but i'm a natural 'witch' and we always judge something by sight, smell and feel. if it smells blended, then you can stop grinding. if you smell one spice too much, more than the others, then add a little pinch more of the others to even it out. warning, too much red pepper will surely make you sneeze. lol.

fourth: when you are done mixing, add the piece of rose quartz to the mortar to set intent into the mixture. have the candle on one side and the incense on the other. with hands over the mortar and thoughts of your love, repeat these words:

i charge these spices with a pure heart
to strengthen our love, to never part
i mix this tender, special brew
to keep our love forever true

let the mix set in the triangle, with stone inside, for a good four hours. longer is perfectly fine. as long as you feel, but no less than four hours. every so often, you'll need to relight more insence, but it doesn't have to be constant, but just there, y'know? after mine sets for four hours, i usually place the whole mix and stone in a special black marble jar to set longer. black marble adds strength and keeps other energies out. but, that's just me. lol.

ok, after the time is up, take the mortar to your room. first, smudge around the whole bed with sage until you feel the energy is totally pure.

then at the farthest corner, sprinkle a bit of the mix and say, "i place this mix to strengthen our love for each other".
then, at the next, closer corner, sprinkle a bit more and repeat, "i place this mix to strengthen our joy in each other".
at the third corner, sprinkle and repeat, "i place this mix to strengthen our passion for each other".
then, at the fourth corner, sprinkle the last and repeat, "i place this mix to strengthen our bond together".

So, a question about "love spells." ~~~
How does free will come into play with a spell such as this? Such as, the free will of the object of the affection? I have always wondered, but never knew a witch to ask.....Gawd I love this board!

well, not sure about other's success because it's my own and i haven't shared it with too many folks. as far as free will.....well, i'm married and have been for quite a few years and i know me hubby. he's not opposed to anything that would enhance the love, ya know? since we already love each other so much, this is just to help it to continue to grow, is all. this isn't really to draw in someone who doesn't share what you feel. more for a couple who share the same love for each other already. no worries; i don't believe in messing with anyone's free will. this is actually the only one that involves anyone else.

it's cool. i really don't write them concerning others.....mostly for myself, ya know. protection, healing, good luck.....that sort of thing. i guess i'm a realist as far as what can be or should be done. always positive, though. lol.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, that this ritual was for a married couple to strengthen the bond, but I didnt want to answer your question for you Aura hehehe.... I have seen people that have also done rituals to bring a lover to them, like not someone specific but someone that they desire, and the relationship they desire. I have also seen those dark-majik ones where they try to bind someone that is not willing to them,,, that I would steer very clear from but I think the positive ones that are in connection with what the Universes plan for you is,,, are great!

that's right. and that's one of the first lessons i learned that all religions teach. one of the first things that made me notice the similarities in different beliefs, instead of the differences. i always say it's one of the universal laws.
