This is one of my favorite stones....
Fluorite
One of the most interesting aspects of this stone is its ability to be fluorescent under UV light producing a kaleidoscope of different colors.
Pure Fluorite is clear but often times many minerals are combined with it making fluorite come in a wide range of colors. There is blue fluorite, green fluorite, clear fluorite, purple fluorite, and yellow fluorite; I have even seen a orange-ish color as well. Fluorite is a glassy type crystal that can usually be seen straight through, often coming in a variety of colors mixed together in two or even all the combinations of colors I mentioned above.
I enjoy fluorites energy because it is very grounding. It is very helpful if you are trying to learn something, it will help you focus and retain what you learn. Fluorite creates calmness where there was chaos, and is said that if you wear or have fluorite around you in about 4 week time you will have a more calm and serine environment.
If you are one of those people that has a hard time being around others because they seem to drain you, then wearing a piece of fluorite will act as a shield and protect you from those energies.
Fluorite will also absorb the negative energies that computer or other electronics give off. By placing a fluorite stone near your computer you are allowing the stone to absorb those energies instead of you. Just be sure to clean, clear and recharge your stone often!
The different colors of fluorite, because they are mixed with other minerals have slightly different metaphysical properties, I will list some here...
Clear Fluorite - This color strengthens your consciousness it is also very protective. If you feel you are under some sort of psychic attack then clear fluorite will help that become blocked and diffuse the negative energy.
Purple Fluorite - This color fluorite will help you meditate, bring you peace and wholeness and focus on yourself. It is known as a spiritual stone, assisting you in to be more connected to our source. It is said to be a mystical stone.
Green Fluorite - This color fluorite is a wonderful healing stone, green is the color of healing and growth and this stone will assist one with both of those things. It has a very high vibration and I would suggest having it in your healing toolkit.
Blue Fluorite - This color is helpful for those that are really out in need of help with their emotions. It will get them to open up and see things from a more logical perspective and what is truly real not just what they feel. It is a wonderful stone for harmonizing ones emotions.
Rainbow Fluorite - Since this color has 3 or 4 distinct colors in it, purple, blue, green and clear it contains all the properties of those colors and also help you become "mentally aware" so that you can understand the root of whatever is ailing you and work through the process of complete healing. I personally love this one and have a beautiful rainbow fluorite point sitting right by my computer and wear my rainbow fluorite pendant more then any of the others I have.
So if you start to use crystals, or if you already do then I highly suggest putting them in a tub of water and sea salt (dead sea salt is best) and then leaving them outside on the full moon & new moon to recharge. I suggest you take them in before noon the next day because after noon the sun starts to get draining to crystals and gemstones. You can also do other methods of cleansing and charging (sage, sweetgrass, reiki, etc.) but those are the two that are easiest to remember because you would have to do it every two weeks. I have a little ritual that I do every new moon and full moon with all the stones in my house, afterwards the energy from them is sooooooooo sweet!
