Ghost story eh? Well, I well and truly grew up in a Haunted House and I loved it. The Lady of the House was wonderful! Whenever I saw her, she had a shy smile on her face and would nod and fade away. She was in her early to late thirties I would say and dressed old Victorian style. She was our protector of the house. Always checking up on us, as children she would come calm my brother and I to sleep. Although my brother never saw her, he says he heard her. He heard her checking all the doors and such when he was home alone, making sure he was all locked up and safe - he says he even heard her come up the stairs and saw his door open but he didn't see her. I saw her on many occasions but mainly as my brother said it was when we were alone in the house. She was checking to make sure we were ok. I always knew she was around too when the hair on my neck tickled, a shiver went threw me and the air got a little more cold...or sometimes I'd just see her out of the corner of my eye. She really was wonderful. My mother often still ponders if she stayed around after they moved out of the house and if the new tenants treat her well....

Wow, Sloan, that reminds me of a book I read! Because the lady/ghost had lost her child, she hung around and helped the children of the house. Sounds a lot like your lady! thanks for sharing!

That is a really cool story... I liked it! Do you think it is a house spirit or maybe even a guide of some sort? Is that possible? I got chills when reading the story.... ((hugs))

So cool. I have a spirit story, but I guess it could qualify. I lived in a relatively new apartment (don't know what it was built on). Anyway, as you guys know, I am open to all possiblities). I lived in the apartment only a short while and my stero started turning on by itself. We (my daugthers and I) thought it was so cool. So one day we sat there and for some reason I called her Sara. Whenever I had the radio on, she would turn on or off the radio. We thought it was cool. I had my boyfriend over one night and the radio came on. I laughed and when I told him about Sara, he took off. funny. Anyway, he came back and had an electrican go through my place and check around the neighborhood to see if garage door openers caused it. Of course he found nothing.
well, we moved and I asked Sara if she was with us at the new place and the radio came on. That was the last time I heard from her.
But, the day I deliver Sara, we had 3 names to pick from and we could not decide. Out of nowhere I said Sara. Stacey looked at me like I was crazy, but her name is Sara. Also, my first guide told me her name was Sarah.
I didn't even put it together until my guide came. No haunting, but a spirit or guide none the less.

Wonderful stories from you both! I get the feeling guides/gaurdians were heavily involved in both instances.

Yea,,, I have more to add to the Sara story,,,, Saffy met me on eBay she got a Spirit Guide reading from me,,, and I remember when I typed it out for her (I was channeling spirits through automatic writing at the time) who do you think came up? Sara, and whats even more funny is I wrote to her, you know I am getting Sara, or Sarah or Sarahh I am not sure about the spelling, they all seem familar to me but Saras for sure..... Little did I know.... I was right! It was such a WOWOWOW moment for us and we have been the bestest of friends since Saffy and I! To me it was like,,, someone made that happen for us for a reason! (((hugs)))

You are so right, now I remember the validation of everything. See..all things do happen for a reason and sometimes more than one reason.

That is so neat Saffy. I've got lots more stories like that and about the Lady of the House. That was just a tease about her really. I adore her, and hope shes taking car of the family there now or moved on to something better.

I remember I did a reading for Saffy too before I knew about the sara's, and I thought I was getting safira, so mine was pretty close. And of course she is saffy, but this was before we called her that, too. So maybe I combined saffy and sara and got safira?!?!?

I remember that too. And we kept trying to figure out if it was Safire...but now it does make more sense doesn't it? I've got chills now...

I lived in a haunted house for 2 years in Central Florida. The house was 75 years old, and it had at least 2 beings that we could tell. One was an adult man, slight build, he always wore a mustardy-yellow plaid shirt and jeans with the cuffs rollled up. I woke up one night and saw him standing over me, just looking.....I gasped, and he disappeared. Never saw him again, but often heard him in the attic and in the apartment next door, especially when that apartment was standing empty. The other being was a small boy, over weight, my son tells me. I never saw him, but my son saw him several times. He liked to hang out in the bathroom, and in my son's bedroom. One morning, I found dirty foot prints on my light-colored bathmat and shower stall. When I said (as most mothers would say to most kids,) "Son, why did you leave such a mess in the bathroom last night when you took your shower," my son replied, "I didn't do that!" Then upon closer inspection, we noticed that the three foot prints were far to small to have been my son's.
So, thinking we were both crazy, and continuing to hear and feel their presence, I brought up the subject with another tenant in the building who had lived there longer than us. She said "Joanie, you are NOT going crazy, the sounds you are hearing are real, and I should know, since I used to live in the empty apartment next to you! ;D
I tried to tell them to go to the light, but I suppose they weren't ready. They were never really super bothersome, just a bit noisy.

I have a question for ya'll?? Do you think it is a ghost, as in not being able to interact, stuck in a certain time frame, playing over and over like a movie? Or a spirit, one that interacts? My home has both, been in the family along time, but not just the home, it is the land too. My home is in the country, once a native american village, years ago, and the home, was the family home of my grandparents. My husband was taking a nap one afternoon, on our kingsize bed, he felt someone get on the bed and slide up next to him, they put their arm around him, as over the comforter...when he realized someone else was with him, he raised up , looked behind him, and no one was there....needless to say ,he knew he had been spooned he was no longer in the mood for a nap! I luv hearing of others experiences, Kathy
