a weird happenstance, maybe? i was walking around my property, gathering leaves, pine cones, acorns, etc. for my mabon alter, right. also, sticks to make into wands. we have 6 acres, so i was way away from the house. i'm enjoying everything. the wind, the sun, bright colors, butterflies.......i only had one stray thought and that was, 'please, don't let me come upon a snake'. on my way back up to the house, i noticed a stick and turn to pick it up and i drop all my collection out of my shirt, where i was carrying them. it felt like an overwhelming sign to stop. so, i have to stop and pick them all back up. so, i continue walking and notice a big, bright orange butterfly flutter up to me then land on a little bush right by my foot and i knew in my heart it was trying to steer me another way, but i just continued. another one came by and again, i felt i should follow it, but still, foolishly continued. a few more steps and i notice not more than three feet from me was a snake!!!! i backed up and began to freak a bit. (snakes are one of my biggest fears and my shadow totem). well, needless to say, i backtrack and carefully, yet quickly move along the way the butterflies flew. when i got far enough, i started running. lol. i got to the house and just had to say, "i knew it. i knew it. i knew i may come across a snake and i knew those three things were warnings. i should've listened". now, the cool part is that my elemental kin were with me and trying to steer me away from the snake. the uncool thing is that i knew it and didn't listen. ugh!!! i'm so foolish, sometimes. but, hey, at least i'm more aware and DID notice these signs, right? nice to have proof that they are with me. lol. but, ewe, the snake!! (shivers). ya'll just don't know how freaked i was. ok, ramble share done! lol.

wow, very cool! I think sometimes we ignore those kind of prmptings because we get proof. If you followed the butterflies you would ever have known for sure that you were being steered away from the snake. What a great experience!

I agree with Kristi. We often know and realize the signs when we see them, we just don't always follow them because we all have that curiosity facter going that keeps us going that little bit further to check things out. Glad that you're ok and what a cool story that you did have your elementals with you!!

Yea I think Kristi is right,,, I have had experience where I did "follow the butterfly" and I always wondered,,, what if I hadnt... Of course I have had experiences like this where I didnt listen and went wow,,, I should have.... Makes me listen more and questions less, thats for sure!
Glad you didnt freak TOO much,,, I am with you about snakes,,, they are fine just keep them away from me! hehehe

I'm sorry you had go through all that. But I think we have all had these gut feelings and just don't listen. I explained to Sara about Law of Attraction and how quickly it can happen. When we think, I wish this doesn't happen and it does. It is happening to me a lot more lately..you set it up before you left the house. I don't mean to be a downer

uhhh, i see it. not sure. that's odd. no, saffy, not a downer, but as far as the feeling of seeing the snake, i knew i would, is the thing, but ignored the feeling. where i live, one doesn't have to have an idea of a snake to make it happen. lol. it's the woods. snakes are inevitable. but this time, i knew. i've had that happen many times in the past. it was my intuition knowing and me foolishly ignoring it. i've had that problem many times. i know to listen to myself, but i guess i forget to listen sometimes. i didn't have the feeling until i reached the woodsy area, far from my house. i just knew, is all. can ya'll see my avitar now? cuz i sees it.

hmmmm......that's so weird. i'm looking at it right now. i wonder why i can and no one else can? darnit all, i liked that one alot too. (pouts) i guess i'll have to check it or get a new one. thanks for letting me know, girl!
