i almost forgot to post this this morning....last night, i was reading this book i got for christmas "five stages of the soul". i'm only into it about a chapter, but gotta start somewhere, right? anyhoo, it's basically talking about soul searching and the different levels that one goes through and i was just considering my own stages, right. well, after i had read enough to get sleepy i started staring at the incense stick burning next to me and, as happens alot, i got kinda hypnotized by it. then, i began to spout out philosophical nonsense in my head and decided to write it down. lol. i do that sometimes, the same as i do with poetry. so, anyway, after i write down these random thoughts, i close the book, turn off the light and curl up to sleep. i layed there for quite a few moments and kept noticing this bright light that kept flashing on right above my head. actually, it was reminicant of a light bulb and seemed as though it was coming from my own brow. it was a white, almost silvery white, light and was so close to my head that i just knew it wasn't a visitor, but myself? does anyone have a clue? lol. i think this has happened before, but not so many times at once. it made me think of the perverbial 'light bulb' going off. it seemed as if it was trying to stay on or something? i know it had something to do with my thoughts at the moment and the philosophical inspiration and even the mystical smoke i was staring into. so, i need thought on this. anyone? i'm gonna go write what i wrote on one of my pages and i'll be back to see what ya'll have to offer. lol. thanks!!

I have had this "light thing" happen since I was a kid. The only difference is mine is more of an orangish/yellow with like a golden hue to it... type color. If that makes sense LOL!
I had never mentioned this to anyone cuz I thought it was normal. Sort of like how I always noticed heat from wounds... I thought that was normal and everyone did it yanno?
So, One of the guys in our group was talking about this meditative technique you do to achieve this "light" and said it's called something.... unfortunately ....I forget. But since you wrote this I'm going to call him today and ask.
Maybe someone else knows this technique. It's a meditative technique where you press your fingers gently over your eyelids to achieve this "light" I haven't researched it but the guy in group mentioned this.
That's very interesting. I will get the light sometimes still now... at random. I don't know what it means though. Sorry I'm no help.
I just always thought it was something my eyes did until this friend mentioned it's something people actually try and do.
Pretty neat that you notice it and maybe we'll figure out together what it is LOL!

lol, well, it makes me feel better to know it's not just me. lol. as far as the eyes being responsible? well, honestly, i knew it wasn't my eyes. lol. ya know what i mean? it was truely my head? if that makes any sense? i also knew it wasn't a 'detatched' light or a light from something else hovering.....it was me.....but this is a first. well, i mean, there have been rare instances that a light flash would pop up from time to time, but i guess this stood out because it lasted longer that any other flash and it was stronger and undeniable? lol. i dunno. i am glad to have someone else understand, though. that always helps. lemme know what kinda meditation it is and yeah, we can figure out our lights together. lolol.....~big hugs and loves~

Ok, the way Elaine talks about what she sees, I've always had something like this. Only mine is yellow/white sometimes a little bit of gold. It used to be really strong when I was a kid and I remember the one time I did tell my parents about it they thought it was kinda strange but my father sat for a good 15 mins trying to see what I saw. This ball of light following me....after that since no one else seemed to see it I kept it to myself. If there's a name for it I'd love to know more. I feel a little better knowing I'm not the only one who ever saw this or sees it....thought it was just me...teehee guess I should have known better hunh?

yep, shoulda known better. lol. like i said, though, i'm not sure this light is 'detatched' from me...it really seemed more like a part of me. maybe all of us are seeing our own Divine light? not the aura, persay, but the light of our higher consciousness? just a thought. lol. it's interesting, either way.

I see a "heart light" when I close my eyes and look at other people, and I can see my own, too. It looks like a little candle gloing in each person's chest. Kristi

ok, just a little addition to this. (not the light, but............) i have a chakra grid on my alter, right. well, this morning, star mentioned rutilated quartz. later, when i layed down for a nap, i was looking for what stone i would hold while i slept. (i always do this). well, i thought i would grab my crown chakra stone, which is rutilated quartz. well, i picked it up and immediately noticed that it was cloudy. i could still see the threads and all, but it was still cloudy. the reason i bought it a while back is because it was so perfectly clear. so, i got curious as to why it got cloudy. (example: aragonite is orange, but over time and use it will turn clear for absorbing stress[one of it's main uses]). but i wasn't sure about this one. so far, the only info i've found about it is this:
"Sometimes crystals develop images or get smoky after you have worked with them. These are projections from your mind into the crystal."
here's some uses of rutile that i found, also: Brings forth each person's strengths and originality. Its needles are said to attract love and to help with mental focus. It raises your vibrations, increases clairvoyance, and strengthens thought projections.
i'm sure that's not all, though. the reason i put this here is due to my crown activity as of late. it's very interesting, but does anyone else have anything else to offer me on this one? i'm very curious. i think something is going on, growth? i dunno, anyone's ideas would be helpful!!
