~astral~

k, so a thought.......i go astral in dreams ALL the time. most often, others remember more than i do. i'll set intent and someone will tell me they met me for the first time astrally or that i came to take them flying. (i like that). anyhoo, on occaision, i do remember, so i thought i'd share the very first rememberance:

i was napping: the best time for any dream divination is a nap during the day. that way, one isn't as deeply 'asleep'. anyway, i was in the 'in between' and i thought i wanted something from another room so i sit up. i look over and see my body still laying there. i think, "how cool is this". so i get up and go into the next room to retrieve whatever it was. then i come back, sit on 'myself' and lay back down into my body. then i wake up immediately. all i could think was how cool it was that i was actually aware. needless to say, i had to go into the next room cuz i still wanted whatever it was. lol. too cool. as simple as it was, that was the beginning. anyone got an astral story?

I like yours. I'm pretty sure I've told you this one but I keep having a reoccurring scene of meeting most of you in an airport. Not sure if it's dream or astral but it seems sooo real.*shrugs...I'd like to think we're all meeting there.

No, don't think I've had astral dreams, but maybe since I'm opening up more, I might eventually have one! Oh, and Sloan, I've had similar dreams about all of us meeting in a big room!

See maybe we are meeting Nate....we're just not attuned to it yet? Maybe?

I hear ya. I like to think that subconsciously when we're sleeping we are meeting up...makes me happy to think so!

I like that though, that our sub-concious selfs are meeting each other!

Haha! Waking up in the morning, thinking "What did I do last night?"....then it slowly comes back to you.

trying to work on this, as I go to sleep I ask for "a good rest" but I also ask for help in seeking you all out....I'm learning slow but sure.

Yea, I sometimes have dreams that seem real,,, I need to post about a dream I had the night before last,,, I will do that later... I wonder about the astral travel, I have dreamed about us meeting before... I wonder if it was a dream though.....

OMG How did I miss this before! I know I've seen the Faery Astrally and can attest she wanted me to "come fly with me" and we had so SO much fun! It was like play time or something. We just flitted and fluttered and giggled like little kids!

Then I have also 'drempt' we meet each other... I've even see myself meeting a couple of you at an airport too! Like Nate comes to mind and like he sits his suitcase down and we hug! It's so wild Sloan that you are seeing this too! Maybe it IS a premonition!

I've also had nights waking up and have several of you in my mind like we were all out together like meeting each other. I usually see a field versus a room though.


Ok my first awake Astral experience.... I was listening to this tape that walks you through it. I felt myself like "squish" out the top of my head I looked back at myself freaked out I guess because I opened my eyes really quick and was back in! LOL! I haven't done it awake since.

I know I travel in my sleep though. Must be less tramatizing for me that way LOL

just fyi, sloanie, if you want a 'restful sleep', then astral isn't it. lol. seriously, when you astral, you don't rest, since your consciousness is still awake. that's why i try to practice during the day, so i can rest at night. now, some dreams that seem so real may be lucid dreams. there's a subtle difference. astral is really YOU traveling around; lucid is you, but it's still only a dream, it's just that you are aware of it being a dream. tricky difference, i'd say. lol. sorry if i confuse anyone. i've been practicing these two for a while. it's slow progress for anyone, but very worth while. i'd love to hear your experiences on both ends, for sure!

Thats good to know about practicing during the day... I do notice that when I remember a dream is it usually when I wake up and am just being lazy and not wanting to get out of bed so I let myself stay in bed and fall back asleep, but not all the way.... Sometimes I nap in the day time,,, I get drowsy when I get up really early and I do notice that those dreams, if I have them are more vivid to me...
