ok, so i didn't hear from anyone on this in that last post, but i'll still start a thread. no real need to respond unless you have something you really want to add, but here's the first of many. i'll change it daily or every couple days so check and ponder. ~hugs~
========================
Wish that everything should come to pass exactly as it does. When negativity starts coming in, you have to release the negative. You have to do this alone, even if the negativity involves another person.

I was actually thinking about something like this today. It is a beautiful day here, but I remember an old saying. When it rains it pours. But people forget to say the rest of the saying. When it rains it pours and then comes a rainbow, right.
Some people do harp on the negative and even if someone else is envolved, they need to stay true to themselves, no matter how it hurts. Everything will come to pass just as it will, releasing the negative keeps you from staying on the same lesson and not moving on.

true. very true. also, holding on to negativity, especially concerning others, holds sway over us. others will knowingly or unknowingly hold power over us. letting it go helps take back our power.

When your body and mind are at peace you will see that they are attuned to each other, that there is a bridge. Each time you remember to place your mind on the breath, you are moving forward.

I like these. So true, every one. They make such perfect sense and are so simplistic. Love it, thanks faery.

consciousness like clouds through the sky. Are your thoughts directing you or do you direct your thoughts? Are you the master? Can you say stop?

I love it! When I teach meditation I say let your thoughts go by like clouds in the sky. That is so cool! Kristi

Without holding or pushing away, without accepting or rejecting, you move along with daily work, doing what needs to be done, helping wherever you can. Meditate on music by being mindful of it, the way you would with breath. Listen to the sounds with full attention. When your mind wanders, return to the music. You may lose yourself in the sound so that you `disappear', which is actually deep meditation.

Benefactor meditation: Sit and begin with metta phrases of lovingkindness. After about ten minutes, see if you can call to mind someone for whom you feel strong respect or gratitude. This person is your benefactor. It is good if this person is still alive and it is recommended that this person not be someone you feel sexual attraction to. So, call your benefactor to mind, perhaps with visualization or by saying their name to yourself. Recall the different ways they have helped or contributed to you or the world. Feel whatever feelings come from this - by observation; do not get caught up in the feelings. Now direct metta phrases toward your benefactor. Repeat the phrases. Act well in the moment.

Ok..now it is time to make a meditation book. May I copy?
You are so great with words, a thing I wish I could be better.

i just like to read things like this. lol. (shrugs) here's today's...........

Giving helps you become more mindful of your inner wealth. By practicing mindfulness of generosity, by giving, and by watching its effects on others and yourself, you transform and purify yourself. Initiate giving. The only thing you need to begin, and then go on with, is a commitment to regular meditation practice.

I have learned to love that disappearing feeling,,, I know when I first started feeling it,,, it was almost frightening because it was so expansive and made life feel so dang surreal and that made me feel like wow,,, is everything,,, just something that you work through and very small in comparison to the Universe? When I started to embrace it, instead of be afraid of it,,, is when stuff started happening more and more though.... This was a good one Thanks Fairy ((hugs))

The only thing you need to begin, and then go on with, is a commitment to regular meditation practice. I had to add my two cents to this one also.... I think it is soooooooo important to be a giving person. Even if you dont have much materialistically, giving an ear to listen to a friend in need, or a hug for someone that just needed one... That is one of the most precious gifts that you can give to yourself or others... At least in my own ideas.... I think that because I am a giving person, people are giving to me, which is why I think giving is one of the most precious gifts you can give YOURSELF. Love begets Love, Giving begets Receiving... It just works like that. Lord make me an instrument of thy - - - - (fill in the blanks) they are all GIVING words, right? I love these deep thoughts Aura,,, I love thoughts that stir the soul,,, thank you again for being the giving soul that you are and so wonderfully giving of your time and self to our little home here ((huggies))
