What do you use reiki for? That may sound silly, but I know I love hearing how other people use reiki...it gives me ideas about things for myself as well For me, I use reiki for: 1. Bathing - I reiki the bath before I get in, and while I'm in I reiki the water from underneath and it gives a real 'fizzy' feeling! 2. Charging all my food before I eat it 3. Charging all my beauty products and bath soaps 4. My plants 5. My very 'chewy' cat

Hmmm, what do I not use Reiki for is probably a better thing to ask! hehe!
Some of the things I use it for are this...
I have a Britta pitcher in my fridge and I took a magic marker and drew Reiki symbols all over the bottom of it. Each time I fill it I charge the water with Reiki. If you have a regular filer under the sink, it would work by putting symbols on that, either drawing them in marker or with your finger and regularly charging it....
I use Reiki on myself every day just before I got to bed, for a peaceful nights sleep and before I get up to start my day on a great note.
I charge my crystals, jewelery, computer, car, cats, medicine, food, grids, plants, kids, bed, water in my bed and my water pillow,,, like I said there is not much I dont try to use Reiki on...
I have used Reiki also to remember things. The Usui II mental/emotional symbol is great to help one retain knowledge. I have also done that one on my son before school asking his guides to keep keep his mouth shut and ears open LOL! Since we started doing that last year he has been better though!
Those are just a few off the top of my head,,, I am interested in seeing what others say!

Ohhhh didnt think about doing it with the intention of it aiding fuel usage... I mostly use Reiki for my car because it is old and well,,, paid for, so you know,,, hate to have it break down on me and need to get a new one, not having a car payment is nice... So I give her Reiki sometimes when I drive and I ask her to let me know somehow that she needs to be checked.... So far,,, she has had her minor break downs but I haven't gotten stranded and it always worked out smoothly for me... I know she appreciates it I always like to look at everything in our lives (even the inanimate things) as beings of their own and treat them with Reiki and love,,, it just seems to make things more harmonious for me when I do it that way! This is a great thread idea, I enjoy reading about how others have used Reiki because like Sloan says,,, it give me ideas too!

I use Reiki on just about everything too... Car included! So funny while reading your post Star I was like "umm huh! ME TOO" I send Reiki to my truck (paid for is always cool but then you have the issue's yanno?) any time I'm in it. I will say "I have a fuel efficiant vehicle" like the whole time I'm driving and it really seems to work!
Not to mention anytime I drive while raining I pray the whole time cuz I don't have wipers! (well they work SOME of the time LOL) It'll cost $200 to fix the issue so we go through some Rain-X now, lemme tell ya! That stuff is awesome!
Good thing I work less than a mile from home!

Let's see........for the highest good in EVERY situation that needs a good outcome (job interviews, disputes between me and the ex, the ex and the kids, tests, conversations I dread), mostly for friends and loved ones in need (long distance), my computer (and I'm always keeping crystals here to help it, too).....I learned a lot from this thread.....like the car/fuel thing. I need to do it on myself more because the way I learned was a kooky crash course that did not emphasize just putting your hands on your own self and starting the flow! I had to learn that from Wm. Lee Rand and Diane Stein. Anyway, great thread and great ideas!

I treat myself, clients, and my dog frequently and I also do a lot of distance healing. I Reiki my angel and Tarot decks and my crystals.

Angel, I was thinking the same thing..what a great thread. Someone told me a long time ago about the car and Reiki and a Violet bubble and I have done that a few times. If the car sounds funny, or whatever, I just send a little Reiki or a Violet bubble and it gets me where I need to go.

I use Reiki often at work. I work in a medical setting, so, it comes in handy for blessing and clearing the exam rooms before and after patients have been in there.
I keep a bottle of Reiki-charged lavender or rosewater in my office at all times, for anyone to use if they feel the urge. Since I can't burn sage at the office, this works just as well when things get hairy and the space needs a good cleansing of heavy energies. I can spray it throughout the air, or use it to clear my own aura. A few of my coworkers have started to request the use of the water on themselves.
I have also used Reiki on the mammogram machines and other office equipment when it isn't acting right. Often, it helps to keep the unit running until the service people can get there. Who would've thunk it? LOL

Wow you girls have some awesome ideas! I love the idea of sending Reiki to your Angel... I don't think I have used it in that manor..... And Reiking the cards,,, I do that too! Dreaded conversations,,, gota love Reiki for that as well I also reiki the moon when I am out putting my crystal out for recharging in the full moon energy. It is so cool because I will stand there with one hand up towards the moon and one towards my crystals and allow the Reiki energy to flow back through me to both the moon and crystals and allow the energy of the crystals and moon to also travel through me... I get such a rush while doing that! I love the idea about doing it in your work as a medical professional Joanie, I have taught Reiki to many nurses. I think it is wonderful that the medical community is open to this sort of thing. I have talked with all of my Doctors about Reiki at one time or another, most of them knew what it was and or have had treatments which I think is just awesome. I can see it in 50 years,,, people will be going to Dr's to receive that sort of treatment maybe! I have also Reikied my computer, many times,,, you know when computers get older and become a pain to work with... It has helped a LOT! This is an awesome thread ((hugs))

I use reiki in nearly everything now, too. It seems to help almost anything. Ah, the power of light!

I use Reiki on myself and my partner, my pets, and my nieces and nephews. I use it on crystals and cards and the jewelry I make. I send it distantly all the time to all of you and others I know who need it. I use it in my work by beaming it from my heart chakra while meeting with my clients. I use it to protect myself and my car when I travel, and have used it to keep my PDA battery from dying. Like everyone else, it's hard to think of things I don't use it on. Kristi

Wow, Reiki for the moon.....must try that sometime soon. I read an article William Rand's magazine about sending Reiki back to the "source," whatever that might be for you. Must be a similar rush!

Wow, this are all great ideas. I wish I had the moon thing this week. I did put my crystals out and said a ritual to the moon. But I bet that is such a rush. I'm going to have to try that. And to my angel,,wow what a great idea. They share all with us, right, so why not send them Reiki. I love it.
Maybe I'm make a list of all these ideas and post it...OMG..here I go again with the lists.
Dang...we need more smileys. Hey, could we keep our own file of smileys and of course share them, but when we need a different smiley, we can pull the URL from that file. Ok, Star and Nate and anyone else who can answer, is this something we can do?
